“Quintessential Boston Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I discovered & selected Clarendon Square Inn through TripAdvisor based on the comments & was so glad I did. This review is long overdue as I stayed there in August 2011, but I had a wonderful experience. Bobby & Stephen were amazing & incredibly welcoming & helpful in making my trip the best it could be. The inn is a perfect location even for the convention center. It is in a very safe area with plenty of wonderful places to wine & dine. I loved it & met great people while I was there. I would definitely go back & I highly recommend it for singles or couples or visiting RNs.

I got to spend time in the 'Parisian room' right up on the top floor. It reminded me of Paris, & overlooked the Boston rooftops, which I love. If I could spend more time there, I absolutely would. I can't wait to go back.

The breakfast was plentiful & wonderful. There is always a spare umbrella if it rains--thanks Bobby!

I can't say enough good things about Clarendon & its hosts. Try it yourself--you will be so glad you did! Enjoy

Room Tip: several stairs so if you have trouble with stairs, select room on lower level

“Lap of Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Went to Boston for a concert at The House of Blues and wish we had stayed more than a single night! The house is absolutely beautiful with a great sense of style. You can tell that the owners have put a great deal of thought into every detail.

When we arrived Stephen met us outside and offered to park our car for us. Although beautiful, the streets and driveways in South Boston are small! He was more than willing to bring our car to parking spaces behind the building. Make sure to reserve a spot when you make your reservation! Before we knew it, our luggage had been brought in while we were being given a tour by Bobby.

The room was the lap of luxury. Not just a walk-in closet for two but, a walk-through closet that led to the oversized soaking tub, double shower room, and European water closet. It was simply stunning! The bedroom/living portion of the room was equally delightful which all led to a great night on the town with all the romance of going away for a short trip at a boutique hotel. We were on top of the world!

Although we had been told about the roof top hot tub, we simply didn't have time to try it out!

Since we live only 2 hours away, we can't wait to go back and spend some more time in the city. Clarendon Square now will become our home away from home.... we've already referred to it as our "City House" when telling friends about our great stay!

Room Tip: Splurge and get the Luxury Suite!

“Rooftop hot tub and perfect location in trendy south end”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

This place is very impressive and the price is extremely reasonable. The roof top hot tub alone makes the Clarendon Square Inn a better pick than other accommodations in this area. I was comfortable and enjoyed the decor of this lovely bed and breakfast.

“A Delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

What more to say - the Clarendon Square Inn is a delight, and has been for all of our numerous visits. The great location, friendly staff, wonderful breakfasts and, above all, the gorgeous and comfortable rooms always make us want to come back again. The Clarendon never disappoints. Highly recommended.
And there are always new touches - LOVE the new carpet on the many stairs!
