Stayed at the hostel alone for a week. Right down the street from a drug store and subway. Took the subway all over Boston, found the location convenient and I thought it was cool to see the huge line around the block for the Sox game.
Upon check-in I was told my room was not ready and I needed to come back in an hour or to(this was also after their advertised check in time). I took my luggage which consisted of a backpack and small rollaway suitcase and walked down the block to sight see. I returned in two hours and was told by a different staff member my room would not be ready and I needed to come back. I complained that I showed up on time, already waited two hours with all my stuff and would not wait any longer. They offered to let me put my luggage in a back room with out security and I declinded and basically demanded my room. They charged me and said my room was not guarenteed to be ready and they were sorry but had no idea somebody had already told me I could not be let into my room. I get my key and take the elevator up to my room which looks fine. It was a plain college dorm style room with three beds and a bathroom. I chose a bed, put my stuff under it and went out. I returned to find a roomate on the bed across from mine. A day or so later a third roomate joined us. Both girls were friendly but very quiet and kept to themselves and both were traveling from other countries. I had no problems with cleaniless, noise or theft. I found the rec room near the lobby to be overpopulated with noisy teenagers and decided to either go out or stay in my room at night and read magazines. For a hostel it was pretty good and very cheap. I saved a lot of money. I wish there had been lockers ad had been advertisted to me and a better experience checking in. For the hastle and the fact that I was being charged by the day the staff should've knocked $25 off my bill and didn't.
