“Great location for visiting colleges in Boston”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I got a great price that included valet parking with the drive in to Boston and save promotion. I was bringing 3 teenage girls to visit colleges in Boston and booked a deluxe room. The MBTA green line is almost right outside the hotel entrance and will quickly bring you to most of the colleges in Boston. The room was a good size and comfortable for the four of us. The bonus was that there were two bathrooms which was key to getting the girls out of the room in a reasonable amount of time. The beds (two doubles) were very comfortable and we were happy with the room. The water pressure in the shower could have been better and wifi cost over $12 per device per day, which I thought was a bit excessive so we chose not to use it. The staff were very accommodating and immediately resolved the minor problems we had. We ate dinner at The Melting Pot, located in the hotel, while it was pricey we had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it. I totally recommend this hotel as a great central location for college visits in the city of Boston.

“Let down by small things”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Stayed here for 3 days on business. Room size was good as was room service. However let down by very slow WiFi (which you paid for), weak shower and room keys that twice I had to get replaced. Because of the WiFi (which I need for business) would not stay here again. Shame as hotel could potentially be very good

“Great location, but needs some work”

classy hotel but the water pressure in my shower made it feel like I was taking a bird bath, but other than that had a great stay

“Pillows galore but someone please turn down the heat?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

One night in the Boston Park Plaza. I should not complain- I had a great rate and my "Towers" room was clean. But really, despite the tiny size they filled it with so much fancy furniture that I could hardly turn around. Getting out of bed on either side meant ramming into either an armoire or a desk. Pick your bruises. And pillows- it was just me and I did not really need NINE pillows. The thermostat was only for show- the heat was 73 degrees when I went to sleep, finally dropping a couple by morning, but making for a difficult sleep under the big comforter. No free wifi anywhere, although in the breakfast lounge on the 15th floor (not open weekends) there was a computer with internet. Be aware its also a very big densely built building so your PDA, like mine, may not work in your room.
