“A wonderful stay in CAJ House - Tremont St.!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

I stayed 4 weeks in CAJ House Tremont St. (apartment 9) in January-February 2011. My experience there was TRULY EXCELLENT! The size of the apartment was more than enough for a single occupant. The bathroom was quite big and had a bath. The whole apartment was perfectly clean upon arrival (also linen, towels...) and everything was perfectly in order. During the four weeks I lived there it was at all times a very comfortable, quiet and cozy place. The kitchen was well equipped, clean, and well provided with many cooking instruments. Both the room and the bathroom had a window with views to a smaller quiet street at the back of the building behind which one could see the high buildings in the Prudential area. The heating worked very well at all times (it was a particularly cold and snowy winter but I din not feel cold there at any moment). So did hot water, internet, the oven, microwave, etc. Both Walter and Mike were very professional, helpful, and responsive at all times, and Mike even helped me carry my luggage upstairs when I arrived in Boston. The building is secure, very close to laundries, supermarkets, restaurants, buses, and some lines of the T (orange, silver). The neighborhood is quiet and very nice. I had a wonderful experience staying there (it was actually painful having to leave this apartment after my four weeks there, as I truly WAS comfortable!), and felt warm, and secure at all times. I will, without a doubt, choose CAJ House again next time I'm in Boston. The price is perhaps not cheap but it is not expensive either, considering that CAJ House apartments (both Tremont and Worcester) are really in the center of Boston, in a beautiful neighborhood, and are excellently equipped and designed to cover the needs of longer stays in Boston. (Besides, in comparison to some other places I found in Boston which provided furnished long-term, CAJ House is infinitely the best option and one of the most moderately priced.) I really can't say anything negative about my stay there, but only give my warmest thanks to Walter and Mike for providing such an excellent accommodation and service in such a beautiful city as Boston!

“CAJ is a great way to experience Boston!”

Just got back to New York after a four month stay at 677 Tremont. Lived here while taking a course at Boston University...loved the coziness of the studio apartment and the warmth and professionalism of the people who own and run it. Walter and Mike are the best. Walk out the front door of the building, go in any direction, and you'll find people and places of interest--from the great local library at the corner to the Prudential Center,
Boston Symphony, Whole Foods, shops on Newbury Street, and a Dunkin Donuts on just about every corner.

“Very nice, modern place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2010

The CAJ House is a modern, affordable place to stay while in Boston. It is fairly centrally located. The Prudential Center is not a long walk away, and neither is Symphony Hall. Getting downtown is a bit longer, but in Boston nothing is really that far away. My only quibble is that the wireless they provide is on the slow side, but you would only really notice that on long term stays. Thanks for a great stay!

“Our 5-week stay at the CAJ Tremont, in Boston was wonderful”

My 16 yr. old daughter and I came to Boston for a 5 week "adventure". She attended Berklee College of Music each weekday, and I was free to explore the city and relax. The Tremont apartment was perfect as far as being centrally located for us. Berklee is about 10 minutes away, as is the Prudential Bldg., where I stopped for my morning paper and coffee each day. Next door to our left is a wonderful nail salon, and to the right is The Upper Crust Pizza Parlor. Th pizza place came in quite handy on many evenings. In less than five minutes, I could walk next door, order the "slice of the day", and be back in my apartment for the evening. We found Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and a local market so close, that I was able to buy fresh each day, so the apartment -sized fridge was not a problem. The restaurants in the area are amazing, and the movie theater, symphony, and historical sites are all within walking distance. Even the train is nearby. We took a cab only once, on the day we returned from Salem. We were exhausted. Otherwise, we walked everywhere. The laundry facilities were surprisingly available every time I attempted to do our laundry, which was three times per week. The building is very quiet
and peaceful. It was quite easy to keep clean because of the vacuum placed in a central location.clean, We especially appreciated the hardwood floors and huge windows which allowed the morning sun to stream into our room. Furthermore, we were able to get through the 90 plus degree weather because we had complete control of our air conditioning unit.
All the neighbors were quiet. When we did happen to see a neighbor, he/she was always friendly. The management is as close as a phone call. Once, during a really severe storm, the building lost electricity. Walter was contacted (on the weekend) and came immediately to solve the problem. My daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay at the CAJ on Tremont. We spent most of our time out of the apartment during the day, of course, but Apartment 7 soon because our "home" . And, by six each evening, I was comfortably reading in bed! I would suggest bringing an extra set of towels, some cloths for cleaning, an omelet skillet, and perhaps your favorite coffee mug. Other than that, the place is set up perfectly. We hope to return to the CAJ on Tremont again next summer. Jackie and Gabriela Carrillo

Parlor.

“Best lodging value we could find in Boston. Live like a local for less!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

My wife and I planned a trip to Boston for our 5-year anniversary and the value offered by CAJ house was amazing, You pay less than half of what a hotel would cost and you get a full kitchen so you don't have to eat out for every meal.

We stayed at the house on Tremont street and were very impressed with the location. We were esentially living in one of Boston's nicer neighbourhoods (BMW, Lexus, etc parked along the street) as if we lived there. You don't get your room made up every day but that's a small price to pay to live like a local. The house has laundry on site and the CAJ management team works out of that building so you have easy access if you have any questions.

Speaking of the CAJ management, Walter and Mike were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We are from Canada so Mike and I had numerous e-mails back and forth leading up to the trip and I felt like he really cared about how everything was handled. His patience was impressive.

All I can say to cap off the review is 5-stars across the board! We won't hesitate to stay with CAJ again in the future.
