We were traveling across the country from Utah, and had called this RV park a week in advance. We wanted to spend one month in Asheville because we were searching for a place to buy land. We inquired about their monthly rate and they gave us a somewhat reasonable price. We had been traveling all day and when we got there, the woman at the desk, who was also the owner told us she made a mistake and that the rate had changed to several hundreds of dollars more. Furthermore, she didn't want us to actually stay on the actual RV park but on her son's neighboring parking lot where he ran his electrical business. Very ugly! We have a brand new 39 foot motor home. She also said we would have to pay for our own electric bill as well. We were shocked. She told us to think about it, in other words, "take it or leave it". We said we would think it over for one night. Since we had to pull out of the RV resort to pull in to the neighboring parking lot, we suddenly got a revelation as we were pulling out. My husband looked at me and said "you want to just go?" and I said "heck yeah". That is the luxury of owning a motor home! I got the feeling that this women (owner) preys on the tired and weary. We just went to a different RV resort. Also, their web site add has a letter from trailer park magazine listing them as one of the top RV resorts in this country. The park is tight and not much to look at, I was surprised when we pulled in. I expected better from Trailer Park magazine!
