This is a well located property close to everything in Asheville and easy to get to, yet far enough off the main roads to be peaceful, relaxing and quiet...UNLESS there are other people in the rooms above and beside you! A tour bus of older folks arrived when we did. We didn't see any small children or teens at the hotel, so who would have thought we would be jarred, actually startled, by what sounded like explosions several times during the night. They were pieces of luggage or furniture being moved, maybe dropped, above and beside us. We were awakened several times with doors closing. The walls must have been made of paper. Oh yes, the vent fan in the bathroom sounded like a plane taking off; we didn't use it after the opening roar. The room was great, clean, well appointed. The bed was wonderful. A Carrabbas was next door; great for dinner. The desk staff was friendly and gave us the exact location and time of room we requested. The breakfast, except for the "plastic scrambled eggs" was good, with the hostess, I think her name was Charlotte, being the best we've encountered. This place would easily rated an ""excellent" from me... but then there was the noise!
