“Very good budget motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

For $62, even if off-season, the Baymont was not only a good deal but a comfortable stay while touring the Asheville sights. We had a king bed room which was clean, well furnished with a lounge chair, desk, microwave, small refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, and a sink and mirror separate from the bath and toilet. The bed was firm but comfortable with good sheets and pillows....towels were thick also. The bedroom area measured about 17 x 14 feet which did not include the bath and sink areas.

As I entered the Baymont I noticed the parking appeared to lack enough space it the motel was full, so I asked what happened if they were full. The desk clerk said their sister hotel next door (Howard Johnson) had plenty of parking and was used for overflow. The lobby was clean with free coffee and USA Today papers. The breakfast area was separate with seating for 12-14, and the free breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, sweet rolls, french toast, cereal and juices. While not cooked to order (except do it yourself waffles), what I tried was good. If the motel is full, I am sure it can get crowded in the breakfast area but that has happened in every place I have stayed.

There is and indoor pool and kiddie pool which appeared to be well kept and clean.

THe Baymont is located just south of the entrance to the Biltmore estate and close to I-40. Downtown Asheville is 5-7 minutes away.

I noticed little noise while in the room, just the nearby rooms doors closing and some slight water pipe noise in the morning during morning shower times. I will definitely return to the Baymont during my next visit to Asheville.

Room Tip: Room numbers around 8-12 on each floor are near elevator and ice machines/laundry. 5th floor is top...

“Close to Biltmore but not too close”

We enjoy coming to Ashville at all times of the year but we always stay at the Baymont because it is one of the few hotels with an indoor pool and hot tub. Their breakfast is the usual up scale fare waffles and such...It is located 3-5 minutes from Biltmore Estates, 10 minutes from the VA hospital and 2 minutes from Panera Bread Company. The downtown is also close and easy to manipulate through traffic. I-40 is .3 miles away so you have easy access off and on. What more could you ask for....

Staff was helpful and rooms are quiet and clean, as is the bathroom! ! ! ! Rooms have refrig adn microwave..

This Inn was only two blocks from the entrance to the estate. Rooms were comfortable and the front desk very friendly. Exercise room was useful as was the breakfast room.

“Economy And Comfort At A Bargain Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Located a few blocks from I-40 and the entrance to the Biltmore Estate, the Baymont Inn represents a great bargain for your money. The property is new, clean, well-appointed, and definitely very inviting. We were greeted at check-in by a very courteous young man at the desk. He did his best to inform us of all important information and was very courteous. Our non smoking room was absolutely clean and well stocked and everything worked perfectly. The flat-screen TV was great! The HVAC unit had a baffle which kept the air from billowing out the curtains, as well as directing air directly into the room. The HVAC unit ran very quietly. The bath towels were large and thick, so nice. A full complete breakfast was offered both mornings we were there, and it is free. The breakfast offered meat sausage and eggs, as well as fresh fruit, cereals, waffles, yogurt, pastries, juice, milk, and coffee. The young man who was the breakfast attendant was courteous and kept the breakfast room tidy and clean and well stocked. We had a loud person in the room next to ours, but the thick walls and carpeting and solid doors reduced the noise to a very low level. The indoor pool was maintained to perfection, perfectly clean and inviting. I highly recommend this facility. You will get your money's worth and more.

Room Tip: Street view for front rooms and privacy for the rear rooms.

“We enjoyed our stay 11-11-11”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

The hotel was very clean and had great breakfast choices. My husband and I stayed with our 9 month old twin girls for 3 nights. They provided two cribs for our room for free, which was a plus. It was very close to Biltmore; easy to get in and out of - a great location with plenty of restaurants close by. We'll be back to stay, especially since we're a yearly pass holder for Biltmore Estates.

Room Tip: We used our Wyndham rewards points and stayed two nights for free. Ask about their rewards program.
