For $62, even if off-season, the Baymont was not only a good deal but a comfortable stay while touring the Asheville sights. We had a king bed room which was clean, well furnished with a lounge chair, desk, microwave, small refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, and a sink and mirror separate from the bath and toilet. The bed was firm but comfortable with good sheets and pillows....towels were thick also. The bedroom area measured about 17 x 14 feet which did not include the bath and sink areas.
As I entered the Baymont I noticed the parking appeared to lack enough space it the motel was full, so I asked what happened if they were full. The desk clerk said their sister hotel next door (Howard Johnson) had plenty of parking and was used for overflow. The lobby was clean with free coffee and USA Today papers. The breakfast area was separate with seating for 12-14, and the free breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, sweet rolls, french toast, cereal and juices. While not cooked to order (except do it yourself waffles), what I tried was good. If the motel is full, I am sure it can get crowded in the breakfast area but that has happened in every place I have stayed.
There is and indoor pool and kiddie pool which appeared to be well kept and clean.
THe Baymont is located just south of the entrance to the Biltmore estate and close to I-40. Downtown Asheville is 5-7 minutes away.
I noticed little noise while in the room, just the nearby rooms doors closing and some slight water pipe noise in the morning during morning shower times. I will definitely return to the Baymont during my next visit to Asheville.
