Our family of four stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was very well maintained - I am not sure if it had been recently renovated or not. The bedding is not up to the overall Marriott standards with the duvets and pillow top mattresses, but it was okay. Location is key, close to downtown and the Biltmore, plus shopping at Biltmore Village and the mall. Staff was good. Breakfast was good and staff took extra care to keep things stocked and well plenished on a busy week-end. If I had to change anything, would be to add a sofa & table in front of the fireplace in the breakfast room/lobby. I had to wait for a family member to pick me up, and waiting in upright chairs in the dark, in a hotel lobby was not pleasing. Could be a nice area to have a cup of coffee in the evening or gather with friends. We would stay again.

We stay at Marriott exclusively, and we travel all over the country and world. This stay was by far the worst Marriott property we have ever seen. Everything was outdated, and our room resembled a sanitarium. The carpets were extremely disgusting. We were stuck here since the whole town was sold out. Corporate Marriott should pay this place a visit!!

This is the third year in a row I have stayed here for a couple weeks during October. My previous review says it all; it's a great place - clean, roomy, all the comforts of home! The staff is so friendly, rooms are spotless and well-equipped, and the location is perfect. The location is only a little more than a mile from downtown, and you don't have that hassle of crowds and parking like you would any closer to downtown.

I can't say much more than I did in my first review. I stayed in 2 other Marriott properties this trip, and this one will always be my favorite (the others were good too, but I like this the best).

Oh, when I got here, the first few days the Internet was super-speedy - really good. One day I noticed it was sluggish; neither of my devices were working properly. I called downstairs and "Amanda" helped me. She is SO nice. She said she would call the Internet provider and have them reset it or something (I didn't really understand). Within 5 minutes, Amanda called me back and said it should be fixed in about 5 more minutes. It sure was -- it was fast again! I appreciate her help, and all the pleasant and friendly staff.

When my travels bring me to Asheville, I will always stay here.

This hotel was clean and the bedding was nice, but the overall condition of the hotel needs some love.

We had 2 rooms, one 2 bedroom suite and 1 one bedroom suite for 3 nights. They were both clean with fully equipped kitchens. The bathrooms were an issue, trouble regulating the hot/cold and one of the commodes ran constantly. The pull out sleeper couches need replacing.

Please note that the hotel was clean and if necessary we would stay again.
