“Makes you feel at home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Very lovely Bed and Breakfest. We went there because on their web site they said they owned a bakery on Martha Vineyard, we were not disappointed. Not only was the food very good but this was the best bed and breakfast we've been. They were very hospitable and ready to help you plain your day. At 5 pm they would serve wine & horderves with a dessert, it was very good.

“Dog Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

My primary concern was finding a place in Asheville that would welcome my dog. I was treating the two of us to a special cushy trip, and this is a beautiful B&B. They have 2 rooms that are dog friendly, and they don't skimp on any comfort or aesthetics for these rooms. Plus, they leave you treats for your dog from a local "dog bakery" every day!
I've never slept in a more comfortable bed. The one breakfast I had there was great, and I'm picky about coffee. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and I have a wonderful memory of my trip. Would definitely go back.

“Favorite Bed & Breakfast Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

This place is heaven on earth. We stayed over New Years weekend. The house is beautiful, the food is divine, and the innkeepers are just wonderful people. We are opening a Bed & Breakfast near Atlanta and went there for ideas since we loved their website and the photos of the property and it is similar to what we are working on doing. We loved everything about it! Unlimited wine and hors d voures is served in the afternoons. Beverages are available all day. On our first night, we went to Nine Mile, which is a Jamaican restaurant within a short walk and it was one of the best restaurants we've been to in a while. The staff is wonderful and made great recommendations and even helped us with discounted tickets to Biltmore and lots of tips that made our stay great. The Black Walnut is in the book 1000 Places to See Before You Die and you should stay there sometime! Every room was decorated for Christmas and we had a real live tree all decorated up in our room. Absolutely a wonderful place to stay!

“Best place to stay in Asheville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights at the inn over christmas break. When we first arrived we were greeted with wine and light appetizers and showed to our room. We stayed in the Azalea room which was very nice. It had a christmas tree in the corner, fireplace, jacuzzi, and garland over the fireplace. Breakfast was always first class because the owner (Peter and Lori) were former owners of a bakery in Martha's Vineyard and in Florida. While eating breakfast they would ask what we wanted to do that particular day and would sit down and draw maps on how to get to certain places. They also gave us discount rates on Biltmore tickets and were great at recommending where to visit or eat in the area. When we would return to our room we were amazed at how good the inn keeping was. We had clothes all over the place and they folded or hung everything up and put our suitcases away for us. It was like having a personal butler. At tea time they offered complimentary wine, appetizers, and tea but the best part was listening to Peter's stories while sitting back and relaxing with the other guests. Ask him about the shark attack sometime. Overall this was the best place we have ever stayed and Biltmore was a great place to propose to my girlfriend. We'll be back.

“Highlight of Asheville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I have stayed in B nB's before but never have I enjoyed one more. The house is a beauty but the hosts and the feel inside made it such a home. We so enjoyed Peter and Lori at both breakfast and tea, the food was absolutely fabulous, and the accomodations were soooo comfortable...even the sheets on the bed were soft and cozy.
We will return!!!T

Room Tip: The Walnut offered a wonderful sitting area to kick back and relax after a day of touring...
