“good value for our money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

It is a great place for the money. Our room was clean without smells/odor. Our bed was comfortable. Our towel and sheets were clean. We have a frige in our room. Free breakfast was great. There is free internet access. Internet speed was OK.
There is no fancy lobby. Breakfast room was small. There is a line of people waiting for food items/ seats.

Our toilet leaks water into bowel. Water runs all the time. It does flush well. It does not bother us other than the water (filling) noise.

All in all, we are happy with our choice. Price was good. Room was fine. We had good rest..

Room Tip: get a room in the back could be a good idea. Our sleep was disrupted by people leaving around 6AM.

“Good place to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

Guesthouse International was a good place to stay for the price. Had no trouble at all with the reservation, in fact they emailed me a couple of times to confirm and remind me of the date. The room and bathroom were both nice and clean. Some reviews had me a little worried before hand about bugs and the service, but we saw no bugs and the hotel staff was very helpful. The continental breakfast was very adequate, especially to be included in the cost of the room! Would stay there again!

Room Tip: May want room in back if road noise bothers you as the hotel is in a busy location.

“Bugs! Empty Promises!! Motel, not HOTEL!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Booked this through Priceline.... we clicked "hotel", not "motel"... what a disappointment! This is the first time Priceline has let us down, in their defense they are looking into it currently. Our door had a one inch gap across the bottom, we had large bugs in our room & the toliet was broken. We talked to the front office but they said there wasn't a manager there. They took our name & number and PROMISED the manager would call us by 3pm that day.... never to be heard from again. I would pay more money to stay somewhere w/out bugs!!

“what are you looking for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

if you are looking for an upper scale hotel w fancy entrance & toiletry items, then no this hotel is not for you. But if you are looking for a hotel that is close to Biltmore village where you can have a decent sleep w/ welcoming nature than this is your hotel. Our room was at the front but did not bother me since the pool season was over. The price we paid ($50 per night) and the service we received (free parking & breakfast) put this hotel in my favorite list.

Room Tip: summer season I will say stay away from the front row by the pool.

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Booked this hotel based on proximity to the Biltmore and because of its price. Leaf season obviously creates quite a price hike. We arrived early but checking was no issue. All staff was efficient and pleasant. We had a room around the back. Very clean and up to date. No bugs. Very little noise, and breakfast was typical fare. Texas roadhouse right next door was very convenient, and reasonable. Would stay there again without hesitation.
