We went to check in early and ask for a balcony around 3 p.m. on a Saturday, and the clerk was not super helpful. It was a busy weekend, but the only room she offered was one that opened up to the roof of the entrance. Not exactly a great view, and she didn't seem to realize it. First impressions are everything, and the clerk didn't make one -- she was also discussing *how many* hours she'd worked with the manger while we walked through.
The room itself was fairly well updated in decor and we slept well with minimal noise from the hall or adjoining rooms. e.g. when I went to the ice machine basically across the hall from our room my husband didn't even hear me, and couldn't believe the machine was so close. The shower had great water pressure/steam, and the a/c heating unit didn't make too much noise--just white noise. The breakfast was a step above Hampton Inn, with a mix of hot and cold items.
Would stay there again, as it was one of the newer/nicer looking properties in Asheville we've stayed at.

Thank you for staying at our hotel. I would suggest the next time to book our King Suites.
Besides the first floor all of our suites have a balcony with a nice view. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
