Found a deal on Days Inn website that got us a room for $50 for a Saturday night - good deal during hunting season. We knew that we were not going to be getting a five star property, and the price was indicitive of what type of accomodations and service was provided. Upon checkin, the front desk clerk, who was friendly, sat down to check me in and then announced my room number with a lobby full of guests. The room was your typical two queen bedroom, with a shower and toilet separated off via a door from the sink, which I prefer. The room was in an interesting condition, with what looked like urine stains on the sheets (we decided to use sleeping bags instead), the shower had hair from a previous guest in the tub area, the toilet seat looked like its had a few go-rounds - and lost every one of them - and had been sprayed painted numerous times. You could tell when they converted the shower rod to a curved one that they had left the screw anchors from the previous shower rod in the wall and painted right over them. I also thought it was weird that they took the time to hook up a DirecTV box on a old school 25" TV. Finally, when we intended to check out, we called down to inform them that we were departing, and no one answered. So, we went to the front desk, and no one was there. Didn't have an opportunity to sample the breakfast or other amenities. I believe there are other options for lodging in Gunnison that may work better than the Days Inn.

By arrival the young woman at the desk gave us a basic room nearby the reception for a prepaid price of 45 $. In this case you don't have to expect much but overall it was ok.The bathroom was very small but clean. The regulator of hot or cold water was not working properly witch was very annoying.
The two queen beds were comfortable. The television was outdated but to our surprise it worked well. Behind the building was a small airport that, in fact, didn"t disturbed our stay. We liked the nice attentions like conditioner, toothpaste, etc... More than you would asked in this hotel with that price. Breakfast was very basic and besides the yogurt and wafles nothing looks tastefull.
If you're passing through the Days Inn hotel is a cheap and basic one night stay.

We booked the night in advanced and got a really good rate. The staff was very friendly and check-in and check-out were smooth. The room with a comfortable king bed had a good size and was clean in general, while one of the chairs was not. Hot breakfast offered good choices and is above average for this price category. There is sufficient seating space in case you don't want to eat in your room.

Within a minute of checking into our room, the headboard fell out of the wall. Then I noticed the other headboard was falling out as well. Yikes! The bathroom was very dirty. The bed was comfy. I wouldn't recommend the place based on my first impressions.
