Very new, clean rooms with a nice breakfast spread. A.J. (owner and front-desk person) went out of his way to make sure our trip went well. Having stayed at many Super 8's around the country, this one stands out for both service and the quality of the facility.

Again this year we traveled to Crested Butte for our annual ski vacation. We were very satisfied with our stay at the Super 8 last year so we stayed there again this year. Once again, our stay this year was pleasant. This is a clean, courteous and well managed hotel at an exceptional value. If we return to Crested Butte next year we will stay at the Super 8 again.

I booked this hotel on a great rate prepay. When I arrived the manager/owner said I had prepaid for only taxes, despite the receipt in my hand that said otherwise. He charged me an additional 88.00 for the 2 nights. We were a late check in with a tight schedule(weekend hunt)...couldnt really afford the time to look elsewhere at that time of night. ...NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN

The person we met that helped from behind the counter (think he's the owner ...A.J.) is very friendly and accommodating and attentive to our needs (even with conversations about things not related to our stay at his place). He treated us with respect and kindness right from the start, and remembers us and greets us with his friendly, reassuring and comforting smile whenever we come back. Always responds quickly and effectively when we have a question about anything while at the hotel; day or night.

The rooms we've stayed in (on two different trips through Gunnison, as I recall) were very neat and clean. Nothing extravagant, but just right for a relaxing place to come back to after hiking all day and hanging out on the town.

It's just a few blocks off of the main street with all the shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, etc. So, we could pretty much walk to everything if we wanted.

Say what you liked best & least
The best part about our stays there have been the person behind the front counter that runs the place. We have never been so warmed by such personal service as with this one. If I had to say what I liked the least, honestly....it would be the bed itself (a bit to hard for me). I know....it's supposed to be all about sleep, and the bed should really matter, but in a world of nastiness (at worst) and indifference (at best) coming at me from behind the counter, this guy really makes the deal for us, and we'll definitely stay there again.
