When I acquired this hotel through Priceline's "Name Your Own Price" program, I was nervous. The reviews were less than stellar. However, this hotel featured many upgrades (ie. new upholstery in rooms, flat-screen TV's, etc.), and I could tell that the management was working hard to counter those reviews. While we didn't eat in the restaurant or swim in the pool, this hotel was a perfect stay for our one-night trip to Beaumont for my graduation from Lamar University.

I was very concerned when I ended up with a reservation at this property. I used a third party hidden name sight because I was just going to Beaumont to attend a party- I did not want to spend a lot of money. I almost selected to lose my money and book somewhere else. The rooms were clean on the fourth floor.- I was able to see two of them. The furniture is a little outdated but clean. This property was actually cleaner that one of the new hotels I have recently stayed at in Beaumont. The lobby is nice. I am very picky, so you can be sure that If this property passed my test, it will pass yours. The ladies at the desk were very pleasant throughout my stay. I was able to request a late check-out with no problem. If you do not mind a little outdated furniture- this is a nice place. I will take clean over outdated anytime. PS I saw no evidence of any kind of insects.

I checked in on 11/23/11 and stayed for 3 days tooo long. The hotel looks nice but it is out dated and full of bugs, Roaches and bed bugs. I am am home now and still itching. I am going to the doctor for a tenance shot !

The room was the best one of my trip. Used the hot tub, which was adequate. They also have a work out room with some limited equipment. Be aware if you choose to pay in cash, they will require a $100 deposit for anything you might order (like room svc) It gets refunded at check out. Otherwise they will charge $25 on your debit card, but it may take 8-10 days to refund that. per their sign. All non smoking hotel. The hot water was nowhere near warm enough. I took my shower way early at around 0430, so it wasn't a high usage time. I got the room service for dinner and the food was good. ( I was too tired to go across the street to Papadeaux even though I love cajun food) Ice machine on my floor didn't work.
