I pulled into this motel off I-10 at 2 AM after driving from Birmingham, AL. I checked out at noon and hit the road to Austin.
I can only compare Motel 6 to other Motel 6's many I have stayed at and not other chains or Hotels: I have stayed at nicer Motel 6 and I have stayed at a lot worse. Its an average Motel 6.
The clerk was very nice and accommodating. There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom, the usual poor quality towels and too small bars of soap. The shower was powerful and excellent. There was no smoke smell, which is half the battle with Motel 6. The bed was okay, not great. It’s right next door to a 24-hour store if you need it. The Ice Machine worked fine. The TV was fine. The room is larger than most Motel 6.
This Motel 6 is higher than the average Motel 6 price, so it’s a bit over-priced for what you are getting.
I would recommend this Motel 6 for one night if you are on the road, and need a place to bed down for a few hours. That's it. I would not stay here with a woman.
