This Econo Lodge is located right on IH-10 and is very noise 24 hours a day, noise from the highway traffic. It caters to construction crews and at night there were construction workers drinking in the parking lot and making a lot of noise. The parking lot is small and inadequate for the number of rooms not to mention the construction trucks in the parking lot that take up more than one parking space. If you arrive late you probably won’t get a parking space and there is no place close by to park your car. The rooms could be nice but the carpets are filthy apparently due to the dirt and grime from the construction worker’s boots and the beds are way past their use by date. Take your own toilet tissue as they furnish the cheapest they can find and it will cause you an anal manicure. The Free Continental Breakfast was the skimpiest I have seen and was next to nothing. Not to mention the proprietors watch you like a hawk at the breakfast bar to make sure you don’t eat too much. Bottom line I wouldn’t stay at this Econo Lodge again if the room was free.
