We stayed here in Jan. 2009 for 2 nights. There were 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 children. Had been travelling for 2 weeks and wanted some space and a bed each for the children. They were sick of sharing a bed. We also wanted to be close to shops.
We stayed in unit 5, so can only comment on that unit. It was clean and comfortable. The unit was on the top floor with a small verandah out the back.
The carpet on the stairs leading up to the room was a bit thread bare.
The light in the stair wasn't working at first, but owner fixed it.
A note on the door said our room was unlocked and that the key was in the door. However, this was not the case and no-one answered the door on the office when we knocked. Had to ring the owner, who said she lives off site and was sorry she forgot to open the door and leave the key for us.
I was led to believe that breakfast was included in the price, but the only things in the kitchen were a jar of flour and a jar of oil. No bread, eggs or milk.
Owner didn't seem to be on site when we were there.
Needs curtains on some windows and thicker ones on others as it was a cold winter when we were there. The unit seemed cold at first, because of lack of window coverings. However, once we worked the heating out it was very cosy.
It was good to have the space after being in hotels. It is in a good location, walking distance to the shops, restaurants etc.
The unit is in need of a refurbishment.
Not sure if I would stay there again.
