This very good hotel was a blessing from the previous weekend's disaster at a Motel 6. Located in downtown Moab it was within pleasant walking distances (a big plus for us) from shopping and restaurants. A bicycle and walking path is also close by. Even the tree-lined parking lot was worth a late afternoon or early evening stroll. It is an easy drive to most of the National Parks from this hotel.
The room was substantially complete with amenities, refrig, microwave, large TV and etc. It was tastefully decorated with colors of green and burgundy and dark wood furniture. The air conditioning provided cold air and coupled with heavy drapes, our room was cool and dark at night. Very little outside noise seeped into the room despite being located off a main street.
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They expended some effort to provide us with a room without reservation and late in the afternoon. The price for the king size room was higher than what one might expect, especially for a weekday, but the hotel was full by the end of the day. It seemed a very popular place at which to stay.
A continental breakfast, of any kind, would have pushed the value rating up one more notch to 'Very Good'. However, we didn't mind spending a few extra dollars to get just about everything. We have unwillingly paid more for much less.
