“Moab on the cheap!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

We read the reviews and decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. It is an old hotel but it has been fixed up and was really clean. The king bed was really comfy and the pillows were fluffy and not flat. The room had wifi and cable tv. They had fresh homemade bread on the breakfast and Starbucks coffee, cereal , Hostess type doughnuts and minimuffins, juice, milk. The rooms are not soundproof. However, if you are looking for a place to wash off the red dirt of Moab and rest up for your next days adventure without spending an arm and leg then this is for you. We will definately stay here again.

“Exactly what we were looking for.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

We took the economy room - economy because it was right next to the restaurant, but this didn't bother us at all. We didn't have any problems with noise from next door, and the room had a really large en suite.

The free breakfast was one of the better we've had, and the room was exceptionally clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The motel is at the end of town, but well within easy walking distance of the town, and the restaurant next door was great for cheap & cheerful Mexican.

All in all, good value, and a great place to stay.

“Low price does not compensate for bad atmosphere, low service and limited facilities”

My girlfriend and I stayed 1 day in November. The service when we arrived was limited, the guy working behind the desk appeared completely uninterested and did not really welcome us. When we arrived at our room other guest where playing loud music on the parking area which was not taken care of by the hotel employee. Additionally, the hotel facilities are limited: we heard a ticking sound during the night ( very annoying) and the shower does not work properly. All in all not too enthousiastic, even when taking into consideration the low prices.

I hated hearing that this guest showed up at our Motel and wasn't happy with their welcome......In fact it kills me to hear it! I am so sorry we didn't make this guest feel more welcome and appreciated.

I encourage everyone coming to stay with us to let us know if there is any problem. We know we can't see everything so we rely on our guests to let us know if and when something is amiss. I checked with our staff and apparently we didn't know about the music problem. We take every opportunity to solve a problem when it arises. We have comment cards in our rooms as well to make sure we hear about problems that we need to address. We do have a noise policy and do what we can to make sure everyone can enjoy themselves while at our motel.

I want to mention that our showers will not "blast" you with water. We live in the desert and we are careful not to waste water. Our shower heads are the lower volume type to minimize water usage. I also installed a hot water circulation line this summer in our South building which means you don't have to run the water a long time to get the hot water. This solution saves 1000's of gallons of water and delivers hot water faster.

We also have a higher mineral content in our water here in Moab which means that we can get a calcium deposit build up if we aren't careful. This might have contributed to this persons comment about the shower? We soak our shower heads in a vinegar solution to break up the calcium build-up and for the most part we're really proud of how well our shower heads work. They are all getting worked on this winter for our deep clean. We open again on February 15th and I assure you that there won't be a problem with any shower head.

Keep the comments coming. We really do value them and know that we'll just keep getting better and better as a result!

“Great staff and very clean rooms.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

This hotel may not stand out as the prettiest from the road but don't let that fool you. It is very economical, clean and friendly place. All rooms are on ground level which makes it so much easier for moving stuff between your vehicle and the room. We enjoyed our stay there, felt safe and was within walking distance of places to eat. A small fridge and microwave would have been a great addition to the room, otherwise, it was sufficient for anyone heading to Moab to see the sights.
