“Clean rooms, good service & location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

Had a few reservations about staying at Big Horn having had our travel agent move us to the motel a couple of weeks before we left. I'd also read some not too happy reviews on TA & went with the outlook of "It's only one night".
That said the room was clean, tidy & had excellent facilities - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, fast wi-fi / wired internet connection. It's on the south side of Moab, about ten minutes walk from the main drag of restaurants (the co-located Steakhouse closed permanently in October), alot of places are closed for the season though. We found decent food at Zax & Pancake Haus.
Overall, this is no 5 star luxury hotel, but for what it is, I don't think it could be much better.

Thanks for the nice review. We have great news, The Moab Grill is the new restaurant opening next door to us and will be open on April 1, 2012.

“Unpretentious base for hiking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

It's been a while since we've visited Moab. This was clean, well appointed and friendly. Quiet at night despite being busy. Close to the Diner on the opposite side of the road which is the best place for breakfast and great for a carry out on the way back! Always ask for the same rate if you stay extra nights otherwise... Enjoy!

“Very nice and inexpensive for Fall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

This is a really nice little place. Not having to wait til 3:00 to check in was a nice added bonus. I wanted a hotel that I could bring my dog, Bennie to. The room is very clean. It has a fridge and microwave which was nice so we didn't have to eat out every meal. Bennie loved having his own bed, although he ended up with mom and dad, but I think he approved. Afterall, this was a trip for him to go hiking:) The only drawback is there is not a good grassy area to walk your dog. There is an area out behind the hotel with gravel and weeds but watch out for the droppings that inconsiderate people have left. Doggie Bags People!!! Other than that, overall, this is a great little place.

Room Tip: Top level will probably eliminate ground level noise.

“Affordable and Clean”

We stayed here after camping at Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Arches. We needed at regular bed and shower for a couple nights. Very affordable price, room was big and clean, and pool refreshing. Room included refrigator. Close to restaurants nearby. Good base for exploring Canyonlands and taking a rafting trip. Would stay again
