“A Cut Above”

We stayed one night while exploring Arches and found it was well worth it. The rooms were clean, modern, with a very soft and comfortable bed. The staff was accommodating and the hotel itself is very tidy and updated. The breakfast was nice and varied with both hot and cold items. We loved this place and will return again.

This is a very good hotel, on the edge of Moab, with lots of facilities. There is a gym and swimming pool, and a large breakfast room. breakfast is inclusive and has hot and cold items buffet style.

The rooms were clean and modern, with all facilities and there was a guest laundry on site. the staff were pleasant and charming and offered lots of advice.

“Great value”

We stayed here for 5 nights in November while visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks as well as Dead Horse Point State Park and driving along the Colorado River. This hotel isn't in the absolute center of downtown Moab, which was okay with us but just so you're aware. The room was super comfy, I love Hampton Inn beds! The included breakfast was great and it varied a little each day so you could mix up your menu. No complaints with the room at all and the service was great. Our room was on the 3rd floor and faced the main road but we never noticed any noise even though the road was surpisingly busy with tractor trailer traffic.

“A lovely hotel but a bit far to walk into the main town.”

This is a great base for Arches NP and Canyonlands Islands in the sky. Both absolutely amazing and a must!! Visit dead horse point state park on the way to canyonlandstoo, it is not included in the NP ticket but isn't expensive and the short detour and hour spent admiring the views are worth it.
The hotel is modern and clean and you get a lovely buffet breakfast in the price which is a bonus. We had a great room - king size bed and sofa bed with a small kitchenette attached. This was useful as we bought food from the large suoermarket and then made pack-ups to take out.
The swimming pool is at the back of the hotel and although small was welcomed at the end of a long day hiking, The staff were very helpful - even calling the maintenance man in on his day off to sort out a problem that we had in our room.
It is a little way into town but a car is a must here so it isn't a problem and parking in town is easy.
Arches NP is a 5 minute drive away and I recommend going really early to avoid the crowds and coach trips - plus the light is fantastic for the photos at this time. Each NP gives a detailed map with marked routes and information which is really useful and there are ecological toilets dotted at the main car parks.
Canyonlaands is about 45 minutes away and is stunning I preferred this amazing place to the Grand Canyon. Give yourself a day here and don't leave until you have seen the amazing sunsets. The facilities here are not great and I would take a picnic and enjoy the views. My favourite view here was through Mesa Arch and the great thing about this place is it's not busy!!!

“Hampton in room only”

We stayed here on our way to Monument Valley for New Years. Winter rates are always great and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and I was welcomed back by name since I have stayed here several times. This time though was different. I'm not sure if it was due to the low winter rate or the fact that there aren't as many travelers during winter but the breakfast was terrible. Waffle batter was so thin it actually ran out of the machine before it could cook. No breakfast meat or even those funny little omelets you see at many Hamptons. Just some very sad looking powdered scrambled eggs and sausage gravy. Even the breakfast breads were non-existent. There was 1 muffin and 3 pieces of bread. I tried to have a waffle but gave up. I ended up buying a breakfast sandwich on my way out of town.
I hope this stay is a one time thing. As I said I've stayed here before and have always been very pleased with this Hampton. I would have recommended it in a heartbeat. Now I'm not sure. I could have stayed at one of the good, older places in town and purchased a fantastic breakfast at Moab Diner for as much as I paid for this room. On my next winter visit I may choose a different place to stay.
