“Incredibly Rude”

Despite their website saying that they take children, they will not even respond to your web inquiry if you mention you have a child. Then they will immediately hang up on you when you mention you have a child.

Now, I know most B&Bs don't accept children, but if your website clearly says you do, then you should at least treat people with respect who are trying to book a room there.

Would not even stay there if we go alone based on this bad experience.

Room Tip: They don't allow children. There website is false advertising.

“First time B&B experiance.”

We stayed here for 3 days during a relatively unbusy time at Moab. We pretty much had the entire place to ourselves, so we slept well and found the peacefulness relaxing between our adventures. The hosts were pleasant enough and helpful with the history of the Mayor's House, as well as Moab in general. We missed two breakfast meals because our plans were before their breakfast times, but they accomodated us the third morning and it was very delicious and filling. Overall, this experiance has greatly persuaded us to choose B&B's over hotels no matter where our next adventure takes us.

“The nicest of B & Bs”

What a jewel is the Mayor's House in Moab. Husband and I had the Master Suite and we could not have had a nicer room. We spent 2 nights in September and could easily have stayed longer as there is so much to see in the area. An added attraction to the property is the heated pool and spa, both of which we used often. It was extremely pleasant sitting on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine. The hosts, Carey and David, were very helpful and wonderful gentlemen with whom to have a conversation about either the local area or anything else that takes one's fancy. Breakfasts were a treat as was the coffee. We highly recommend the Mayor's House.

Room Tip: The Master Suite is large and very roomy with a king size bed.

“A great stay at this B&B”

We spent 4 nights here. Friends had a regular room and we had the bunkroom since no other rooms were available for the time frame we were here in September. Moab is a busy place due to its location near Arches and Canyonlands. My brother joined us in the bunkroom for the last 2 nights as there are 4 queen beds, a living room, kitchen and large bathroom with 2 showerheads. But the best thing about this B&B are the owners who serve a fabulous breakfast, share great info on the area, what restaurants are the best, where to find dino tracks, etc. Just ask and they will share. We loved our stay here. We had a vehicle but did just walk to the main drag one evening for shopping and such. Definitely recommend. Also met other guests over breakfast, which is also a good resource for info.

“You should stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

This is a great place to stay in an area that warrants multiple days of exploration, and Carey and David were great hosts. Our room, though small (the Country Room) had a comfy bed and a nice bathroom. It would have been nice to have a nightstand on both sides of the bed and a place for suitcases....more useful to us than the dresser, for example, but those are small quibbles. We enjoyed relaxing and looking at the books about Arches, Canyonlands, etc, after dinner in the common area (living room) while sipping the tea they provided. Other guests raved about the pool, etc, but we never tried....we did make use of the fridge on the porch to keep our food so we were able to shop at the grocery store and have the food for more than one day for lunches and snacks. This is another nice little touch that made a difference to us.

I also asked a million questions about all sorts of things (from what we could do in a day, where to get food in town, to laundromats, and even getting a haircut....and Carey, especially was very patient and helpful! :) One night, tired of expensive restaurant food on the trip, we brought home a roasted chicken and deli salads from a local grocery....and were provided utensils and plates and they wouldn't let us do the dishes! Nice people!

Breakfast was delicious.....first day: grapefruit, eggs, sausage, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, plus juice and coffee. Second day: grapefruit, lots of other fruit, quiche and muffins. Third day: grapefruit/melon, scrambled eggs, sausage, and the most incredible blueberry pancakes we've ever had.

You really do want to stay in Moab for all the incredible natural beauty in this area to explore.....and we recommend you stay here to do it!
