I originally booked a different condo through the lodging company, but weeks after my reservation, I was contacted that the condo I booked was no longer available, and they moved me to Desert Gardens #1. The price was pretty good coming in close to a cheaper hotel, but with a kitchen, which was a plus due to the fact that we were going to be in Moab for many days. Upon arrival the unit was not really clean, but it was ok. The "air conditioning" is really a swamp cooler, which makes the inside of the unit cool, but also very, very humid. Everything seemed damp, although after a long day of hiking in the 100 degree heat it didn't feel bad. There was also free wifi, although it was very slow.
The grounds are nice, and include a shared hot tub, fire pit and bbq. There is kind of off street parking, and a bike shed/area where you can work on bikes and clean them. It is right off of main street, but relatively far away from many of the places we were interested in visiting, such as the Moab Brewery and a couple of bike shops.
Overall, they are an economical choice if you are in town for a long period and would like to be able to cook. The cost is comprable to staying at a hotel on Main Street, but not as busy, and with lots more room. I wish it would have had a washer and dryer in the unit, or available.
