“Good value for Moab”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

We stayed here previously five years ago and nothing really much changed.

It is your traditional, older design SI with shower only, good TV channel selection (no flat screen), mini fridge (no microwave) and nice bed (after long drive any bed feels great). The room was clean with no visible wear and tear. The breakfast was rather disappointing with canned fruit (no fresh fruit like bananas, apples, etc. was available), no yogurt, just your pre-packaged / frozen muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. They had hardboiled eggs but I lacked the courage to try them.

City Market grocery store, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and variety of local restaurants and stores are about couple minutes away by car as is the Utah ABC.

The hotel during this stay was almost deserted. We stayed on the second floor and were the only guest there as everybody else stayed on the ground floor. Crews were cleaning the rooms thoroughly and getting them ready for next year. We paid $69 via SI web and stayed additional night for SI Moab special rate of $62.10 found when you use their free WiFi.

$70 does not buy much lodging in Moab even out of season and for the money it is a good value and I would stay again.

“good enough”

On road trips in the US I usually stay at the Choice Hotels chain. Usually nothing special, but they often have some of the lowest rates and are clean and fairly well kept. The Sleep Inn Moab was in line with my expectations of a Choice Hotel.

Pros:
Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Easy to find. Restaurants nearby.

Cons:
Poor Breakfast. Also the location was in the south end of town (furthest from Arches and Canyon Lands.) However the distance is very minimal so no a big deal really.

“Excellent Value and Service”

Stayed here for 3 nights as we were unable to get into our usual choice in Moab as it was full. Although this motel is a little way out of town we were pleasantly surprised by the efficient and friendly check-in staff who, as a bonus, allowed us to check in early.

Room was modern, clean and bright and beds were comfortable. Facilities were great including a large outdoor pool, laundy with seating, magazines and washing powders in machines (as opposed to at the front desk). The complimentary breakfast was adaquate (although seating was limited).

Check-out was efficient and again friendly. But best - was far cheaper than our usual Moab motel.

Based on this experience would be more than happy to use a Sleep Inn again.

“Good value with friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

The hotel was a little further out of town than I had expected, but was not too inconvenient for The Moab Brewery and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts shop was just across the street.
The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful, reducing my rate by $20 to the AAA rate of $89.10. The room was of a reasonable size with all the facilities expected including a fridge, ironing facilities and in-room coffee. The bathroom was a little small having a toilet and shower unit. The washbasin was in the room and the coffee maker was put here too, with the fridge underneath, so the area was a little cluttered. The TV had 70 channels including HBO, Oxygen, Speed and Fox Sports, just no menu channel to find out what was on. The room was well lit with two ceiling height concealed lighting units and a small uplighter, no floor or table lamps, which was a nice change. There were also a good number of sockets available including a 6-way Belkin protected socket adapter.
The complimentary continental breakfast was fairly basic offering choices of three cereals, oatmeal, pastries, fruit salad, toast and muffins, hard boiled eggs, fruit juice and coffee with syrups.

“Good value for the price”

Stayed for two nights Columbus weekend.
- Quick, easy check-in and check-out.
- Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. They recommended restaurants (and which to avoid!), good viewpoints for photos, trails for hiking, which were all great recommendations--some hidden gems we didn't know about. The manager even spent about 10 minutes on the phone trying to find out information for us on availability for the Fiery Furnace hike at Arches, which requires reservations (which we weren't aware of) and provided us with the number for the Park itself. When we turned on the room heater--it was cold Columbus Day weekend--it was dusty, so it set off the smoke alarm, but the front desk responded immediately and no problems after that.
- Rooms are comfortable, but there are only 2 pillows on the queen beds, so I used a pillow from the other unused queen.
- Room and bathroom were clean, except for some grunge at the bottom of the shower door on both the inside and outside; looked like hard water build-up.
- Coffee maker and refrigerator in room are very handy.
- Plenty of outlets for computer, cell phone & camera chargers.
- Breakfast is very good, consisting of cereal, milk, juice, coffee (including decaf), muffins, doughnuts, fruit, and lots of different teas (which my husband loved). The hot items were waffles, french toast and toast, but don't expect bacon and eggs, although they provide hard-boiled eggs. Not much seating, but there are a couple of tables at the top of the stairs.
- complimentary coffee & tea available in lobby all the time.
- We didn't hear much noise at night, but did in the hallways in the early in the morning when people are leaving.
- wi-fi was super easy to connect and worked great (just be aware it's not a secured network)
-We didn't use the dining room, so can't speak to that.
- Good location, not quite in the center of town, but a little south.

Will definitely book here again when we go.

Room Tip: No elevator, so if you can't do stairs, book the first floor.
