Just stayed at this place over the weekend, and would recommend it to others. I am not sure how old this place is, but it well kept and up to date. The clerk was friendly and knowledgable, and check in went fast and smooth. My room was nice and clean. The hotel is five miles from Charlestown Race Track & Casino (hotel offers free shuttle service till 2am). There is a nice bar/restaurant attached to the lobby, the food was good and there were numerous happy hour/game time specials. Considering the price, I would stay here again, and recommend to others.

We only stayed one night, but could have stayed for a week. As far as Quality Inns go, our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable, but not the mattresses we normally would expect. The service was excellent. Fresh cookies were available when we arrived, coffee was available in the lobby all the time, and there was even a fundraiser dinner in their dining the night we stayed, so we didn't have to leave the hotel to eat! Our two complaints are that the heated pool room was cold, but the water was warm and it was nicely decorated, and we had to pay $10/night for a crib rental, which we hadn't had to do for our stays at other similar level Choice hotels.

Rooms are well appointed. Staff welcoming and dining facilities outstandidng.

First, our room had an odd smell. We couldn't figure out what it was, but it may have been some sort of cleaner or attempt to cover another odor. Either way, it was not pleasant. The bathroom door was so warped that we couldn't even close it. Even though we were in non smoking area, the hallways had a smokey smell. When we got to breakfast, they were out of eggs and meat and we had completely finished before they refilled them. Vending machines only had a few drinks. No snacks any where we could find. Bar area was nice and drinks reasonably priced. But the karokee was so loud we could barely converse with friends who we met there. This is what I would have expected from a motel of half this price maybe. But for what they charge.. this was totally unacceptable.
