We stayed here for only 1 night but absolutely loved it! Joanne was very friendly and flexible as we had a unexpected late check-in. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The lemon poppy coffee-cake was amazing as well as the french toast and coffee.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at this historic home after visiting Antietem. The acommodations were very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed having our own private porch to sit and reflect on what we had just seen. The beautifully ironed bed linens were an unexpected pleasure. There were a number of nice restaurant choices nearby, and Joanne prepared a substantial breakfast for us in the morning. This is the kind of stop that will make you a confirmed B&B enthusiast.

We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at this lovely historic B&B. It was the weekend of a freak October snowstorm and the inn had lost power for 3 hours before we got there. The innkeepers had thoughtfully put a space heater into our spacious room to get it toasty again. The room was quiet even though it was on "Main Street" in Sharpsburg. Not much traffic. Parking was convenient right behind the inn. The innkeepers were friendly, knowledgeable about the area (annotated directions to Harpers Ferry via the back route which takes you past John Brown's farmhouse hideout). Breakfast was filling and delicious.
