“Pet Friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2010

This is an unusual hotel. It looks like a typical motel with exterior corridors, but then there is a glass wall erected outside the doors that makes an unheated, extra corridor before you reach the parking area. Not really sure of the purpose of that.
We arrived in the afternoon and were treated to a free bag of popcorn (available every afternoon) and a doggy bag of treats for our pup. (For those traveling with pets, you know how nice it is to have your fuzzy friend welcomed!)
The room was clean though the furniture was a bit scuffed. The heater was noisy and the bed was quite squeaky, but all in all it was fine. They serve a good breakfast but have a sign that says you can't take the food from the dining area. This is pretty inconvenient when you're going down to eat one at a time so as not to leave your pet alone in the room. Regardless, we'll stay here again if we're in the area.

“Decent hotel but a few problems”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2009

This hotel is pretty decent for a budget type hotel. My room was only $70 a night so I wasn't expecting a luxury hotel. My room was clean and very quiet and the hotel staff was very helpful. However has has been noted before the glass hallway was very hot it also smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I also had a problem getting an internet connection in my room but was able to get a strong connection in the lobby and breakfast room. All in all if you are looking for an okay hotel at at decent price I would reccomend this one.

“Great Stay... Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2009

I travelled down to do some work on a gas pipeline with my co-worker, The rooms were clean, the internet was reliable, the breakfast was pretty good, and the staff was very friendly. I even left a mobile phone charger in the room (and thought I left my keys). The general manager searched the room for me and the charger is being sent back.

All for a decent price. Thanks.

The glass hallway, however, gets ridiculously hot.

“We won't be back!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2008

We stayed at this hotel for an event that happened to be during a big race weekend in Bristol. When we called the hotel, they asked if we were attending the race, when the reply was no, they said they had no rooms. When the answer was changed to yes, 4 rooms were available, at about double their normal price with a two night minimum.

When we arrived late the first evening we found Ok rooms. No soap in one. TINY restrooms. The next morning we had to get LOTS of lint off our clothes from sitting on our bed.

The second evening we returned to our no smoking room to find a room with a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We discovered that our bathroom shared a vent with a room behind ours which was a smoking room. The desk was not surprised at the problem and said we could change rooms (at a late hour) or talk to the manager in the morning.
We told the manager about the smoke and the lint. She was aware they had a problem with some balnkets.

The manager offered us a $10 discount. When we complained she changed that to $20.00 which was about 10%. She then gave us an OOPS bag they have ready. It contained a printed OOPS note, a bottle of water, a package of peanutbutter crackers and a couple of pieces of candy. If you enjoy a small, smoky room which shares an open vent with another room, with blankets full of lint, this is the place to stay. And if there is a race in Bristol--the rates jump!

“Convenient Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2008

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights just before Thanksgiving. The location was very convenient to everything that we planned on doing while in Greeneville and Jonesborough. The front desk staff was very nice, efficient and helpful. The evening popcorn was an added bonus. Free continental breakfast in the morning was more than enough. They had waffles, eggs, cheese, biscuits, cereal, yogurt, fruit and probably more. Our room was clean and very quiet. Since we traveled during cooler weather, the glassed in hallway was not too hot but rather cold instead. The room temperature was easily controlled. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to all travelers.

  • Liked — Great Value
  • Disliked — Heater had a burning odor when we first turned it on and it set off the fire alarm.
