- La Quinta Del Rio
- Del Rio La Quinta

Just there, I did not know the area and booked room from Priceline. The room was very clean, and the staff was very helpful. I felt it was a great value for the price.
We have stayed in this motel many times, and it is just right for us. We drive into Mexico, and we like to get an early start. After a long day of driving, we look forward to this LaQuinta. We like best to get a room on the first floor with a door to the outside. We back the car up and unload what we need right into the hotel room. Then we hit the pool. An outdoor pool is a must for us. This pool is not huge, but it is nice, and it has a large area where one can sit on the bottom and possibly enjoy a refreshing beverage. Oh, that area is probably good for small children, too! ;)
We usually walk down to the Whataburger and get takeout and bring it back to eat by the pool.
This is not a Four Seasons, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and well-kept. They have just put in flat-screen TVs, which are nice. The breakfast is a little above the "free continental breakfast" standard, with make-your-own waffles available.
Nice motel in typical commercial-sprawl surroundings in a town that most tourists just pass through. Reception was friendly, price was certainly right, and my room was clean and quiet (perhaps because of low occupancy that night). Though it's on a busy street, I heard nothing at night. There is a also a nice-looking, albeit unheated (and in early March stunningly frigid) swimming pool; the water was certainly clean - maybe because no one else had been foolish enough to test it yet this year. Breakfast was the usual, and just OK - I especially missed having real butter, for the “spread” that was offered made everything taste wrong. But overall this motel lived up to its top local rating.
I agree with previous reviews that La Quinta is good hotel for that money you pay: clean and comfortable room, good breakfast. The staff is friendly and there were plenty of diff. restaurants near by. We chose this hotel for two reasons:
1) we stayed in la Quinta in downtown Houston and it was great location and great service,
2) We looked in this site and found that la Quinta is # 1 hotel in Del Rio TX, do not believe your eyes, best in Del Rio is Ramada inn, go and see yourself (hotels "two feet" apart)
But we stayed 1 week with weekly rates and rates were good, but it was skipped service (twice in week) for room cleaning and after 2 days camping out we return in dirty room with the same dirty towels we left and we had to go (tired and exhausted) through all "nine yards" to get shampoo, clean towels and coffee in the room. Another big minus is that horse stable right bihind the fence and if you have room looking on that stable you will experience smell and bunch of flies try to share your meal))) Be ready that you have to pay for all 800 numbers and TV has only 15 channels. And it's too bad!!!
