“It is all about the people!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

Other reviews I have read about the PIC in Saipan have commented about the aging facilities. The critical comments are justified, but not very important to my family. We don't go to Saipan looking for 5 star hotels, we go to the PIC for a relaxing, enjoyable, memorable vacation for the whole family. A vacation at PIC Saipan fits the bill not because of the facilities, but because of the staff. The hotel staff, whether they work the fron desk, houskeeping, transportation, or dining are all fantastic. They are warm, friendly, and helpful. But the real stars of PIC are the Club Mates. Part lifeguard, part activities coordinator, and part child care provider, they are some of the hardest working men and women I have ever met. My children (aged 9 and 6) spent every day we were there in the Kid's Club. The Club Mates provide supervision while coordinating a wide variety of activities. My kids never wanted to leave. Despite the hundreds of kids they meet, they recognized mine and called them by name after an 8-month absence. This really made my kids feel special.

Dining at the PIC is a great bargain as well as being delicious. The bufffets were varied throughout our week-long stay. The Seaside BBQ and Seaside Grill are both excellent choices for dinner. The staff at the Seaside Grill helped me with a special anniversary surprise that my wife won't soon forget.

The massage from the Thai Spa was very nice and reasonably priced as well. The massage was needed to help me recover from all the activities available on site as I am apparantly not as young as I want to be. In addition to the pools and water slides there is miniature golf, archery, rock wall climbing, horseshoes, a game room, a laser tag field a lazy river and a wave rider. The beach activities include standing paddle boards, wind surfing, snorkling, sailing, and ocean kayaks. All activities are included with the room price. Every night at 8:30 the Club Mates put on a show or organize group activities like water sports competitions and sing-alongs. There really is something for everyone, but it is ideal for families with children.

“Great for kids if you have them”

We stayed at the PIC because we'd heard about the waterpark. The waterpark is fantastic, we spent most of our weekend floating on the lazy river. However, I would not stay here again. Our room was ridiculously far from the waterpark and main entrance of the hotel. Moreover, the PIC is NOT in the central Garapan district of Saipan - to get to Garapan, you need to "pretend" you're going shopping (to hop on the free shopping district bus) and walk a few blocks to Garapan or take a pricey cab.

“Waterpark Visitor only, Didn't stay at the Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

My wife and I are in Guam for the winter and have local ID's so while on our anniversary weekend up in Saipan, we went to the PIC waterpark which has a special local rate (Guam & CNMI residents apply) of only $20 for a daypass per person. For $5 more, you can add a nice all you can eat buffet for lunch. This is a really good value because the waterpark is nice, has something for everyone it seems... relaxing on an inter-tube on the lazy river is great, the couple slides are short but fun and the surfing machine is pretty fun too. All in all, we had a great time. I highly recommend going. Also, there are representatives from PIC in the Saipan forums here on Trip Advisor so if you have a question, they can quickly answer it as they did mine. Nice job. I wish Guam's PIC had as good of service and local rates as the Saipan PIC!

“First class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

After a wonderful buffet lunch at the restaraunt, we spent the afternoon in the sun. There is a wonderful pool for children and also a river to float down. We also snorkeled off the beach in front of the hotel. It is a beautiful resort.

“Really good for children.”

Actually the hotel needs to be renovated. It is the only complain I have. The hotel territory is green, the food is good and staffs are very helpful and friendly. I hope I will return.
