location is good, close to fishermans warf a high street that does everything,and its also lombard st.its clean, friendly and helpful, the man at the desk took 15mins out of hiss time whenwe checked in to giveus info about san fran. the wifi is very good, and the heating is great for when it got cold, glad we picked thisplace good valuefor money.

the only bad thing to this place was the wifi didnt work one evening, but was corrected the next day, and the fire engines that go past as you are right next to the station, any hour of the day you can hear the sirens alot, but even this isnt that bad to complain about. i would stay here again!

I stayed 3 nights in it . It was clean and comfortable . Free parking and free Internet . Worth every penny .

I got a room at the Greenwich for about $58 a night before tax. The motel is in a nice area, and within a couple miles/30 minute walk from the Fisherman's Wharf/Alcatraz/Aquarium area. Taking a taxi will cost about $12. As for the room, the room was clean and the staff helpful. There is free parking available. Fridge in room.

The only cons would be the shower and some noise from the cable cars. The cable cars are in a lot of areas of San Francisco so they're to be expected in many hotels. But you will hear them during the night and morning hours. They are not all that loud but just don't expect total silence. The shower head was only about 5 feet off the ground and there was nowhere to hang towels.

Most importantly the area was safe and fairly convenient, the room clean and comfortable, and the parking was free. I would stay here again.

Budget travellers would do well to take a look at this place. It is budget - but our room was clean and comfortable. It's location is ideal as we walked right up Lombard St and down to Fishermans Wharf and back again. We arrived on a Thursday and had the carpark to ourselves but by Friday night it was full. So just time it for midweek and there are no problems. Quiet enough to sleep comfortably, location great, parking good and plenty of tourist information in front office.
