This hotel has a split personality. Part of the decor is very old fashioned and part is very modern.
We arrived in advance of a conference and check-in was easy though the rooms were not ready. Our requests as far as room location and bed configuration were honored.
The hotel is massive - there were over 1000 at our conference and even more people in the hotel. I had an older Tower 1 room which was decent, but the shower had hardly any water pressure at all.
A co-worker had a new Tower 3 room which was very sleek and modern. It did feel smaller than my room and did not have a bathtub.
Lobby has a Starbucks - very busy on conference mornings. Urban Tavern restaurant was good and had a varied menu.
Room service was overpriced and underwhelming. A meatball slider order came with two small, squishy meatloaf pieces on two soggy buns. No fries, or anything else. Explore the area - there are enough restaurants within a two block radius.
Internet is free in the lobby so it's usually packed with people. Not free the in rooms.
I would NOT have paid the regular rate to stay at this hotel. It was more than $300 a night, and I did not see the value. Location is the main perk for this hotel but I see that change is coming so maybe after the renovation is complete, I'll try again.
