We were in town to visit our son for the Thanksgiving holiday. We chose this motel because we were offered a great rate on www.aaa.com and because they allowed us to bring our dog. We arrived expecting motel, not hotel, standards and needed the room for nothing other than a place to sleep. Consequently, none of the previous bad reviews applied to us. We found management to be patient, accommodating and very friendly. Our room, 221, had apparently been updated and was extremely clean. No mildew or dust and carpets had recently been shampooed. The room is small but had vaulted ceilings that gave the feeling of more space. Yes, the towels were small but typical of motel quality. The bed was comfortable enough by motel standards. The neighborhood felt safe as we walked the dog around the block. We found our room to be quiet but this could be due to the holiday and that there was very little activity on the street. They are remodeling the lobby which I assume will take care of the "no where to eat breakfast" problem. We used the table and chairs available in our room. Breakfast was adequate; 2 kinds of cereal, 3 kinds of muffins, coffee and juice. One negative was that the tv was very poor quality. All in all, for a motel, we give this property a good review. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Fyi- dog charge is $23, parking $12 a night.
Room Tip: Upper level toward the back would be the quietest. Notify management ahead if bringing dog since onl...
