“terrible response from owner”

I wrote a review already but since then Ive finally contacted the Wyndham Rewards program and got someone who appeared to care but could do nothing but i did have to phone several times because apparently this hotel was under "special" complaint investigation and only one person had the file. They gave me a non-tool free number in California for the owner/ GM, but several calls later no connection and no satisfaction, I finally contacted the person who Wyndham said was the owner himself and he said very little as i explained my horrendous experience at the Knights inn and then he hung up on me and then his angry wife called me at my condo that night and complained that I had called her home, I calmly explained that Wyndham had given me that number and asked if she was the manager and when she found out my compliants about bedbugs, lousy service and no light in bathroom, no internet, sporadic phone and smelly carpets, and human hairs on the sheets she hung up. So much for service.

“BEWARE, BED BUGS FROM HELL”

We booked in to this hotel on the basis of the location and low cost. Luckily, from experience we only book a hotel for a day in the first instance then see how it pans out and consider extending our stay. The staff were, to put it bluntly, lacking in social interaction and were pretty much robotic and unhelpful/rude e.g when i asked if the hotel had elevators, the receptionist looked at me in amazement and stated, no. Considering how we had two heavy suitcases, i found this totally unacceptable. We were then checked in and told to make our way across the street, where, behind a bush we would find the 'secret door' to our second floor room. In the pouring rain, we made our way across the road and found this majestic cavern and found a dark dingy corridor which had, for a spectacular view, a parking lot. There was a dirty sofa on the landing with bits of food strewn at the bottom of the stairs. We carried on, as it was night time and we literally wanted to sleep and get this torture done with. We lugged our luggage up the stairs and entered the room. Luckily we didn't go in with our suitcases as there was not ample room for the four of us. We had to maneouvre the luggage into the room as there was so little space. The bed looked as if had seen better days and don;t get me started on the bathroom! The final straw was the bed bugs which remained with us for the remainder of our journey around West USA! Needless to say, we checked out first thing the next morning and will never make the same mistake again. To anybody looking to stay in this hotel, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Room Tip: Only ever book a hotel for one night in the first instance in order to check it out. The pics may lo...

“DO NOT STAY HERE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011 via mobile

We booked this hotel at the last minute as we drove into the city late.

At first we thought the hotel was a bit run down but service was okay and it was in an okay location to union square.

After the second night and noticing a few bite marks on me I started to become concerned.by the third day I was completely covered in bed bug bites, and I have never been so itchy in my life.

I'm not being a drama queen but this hotel pretty much ruined my holiday for the next 10 days as I dealt with these stupid bites.

When we checked out I told the front desk and got a 'ohhh well we have your details so we'll get in touch...' but two weeks later still nothing.

There is nothing good about this hotel except the free parking.

“Good Location - Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

I recently stayed here and was quite happy. It's in a good location and gave us a great deal for an expensive city. Friendly staff, rooms were clean, and we would definitely stay here again.
