We had a very enjoyable trip to San Francisco. The location and service were great but the hotel charging 45 dollars a day to self park my car was disappointing considering there was plenty of open parking in the lot. it seemed like it was there way of hiking up the price you paid for the room.the hotel should let their guests know about this charge upon booking the room,it was an extra cost that we had not planned on and i was stuck with the parking fees myself.

FRONT DESK TREATS ME LIKE ROYALTY EACH TIME WE COME. It is directly across the street from pier 39 - you can't get any closer! Parking is easy. Food/shopping/coffee/wine tasting/seals/merry go round/street cars all at your front door. Pool is heated and outdoor fire pit is nice with a bottle. It's terrific for the price, kid friendly - i keep going back.

Perfect four day stay right on the wharf. Staff very helpful. Lovely size bedroom with fridge, ice, comfortable beds. Lovely warm swimming pool and table, chairs and sofa outside with fire to keep you warm. You can take food and drink and enjoy the evening. We were delighted with our stay and thought San Fransisco a lovely city with lovely gentle people.

“Just. Awful.”

I usually stay in Radisson hotels by preference, I am in the top tier of their loyalty program and I have come to expect a certain standard from the hotel chain. This one did not deliver. It was awful. The attitude of the receptionist left us feeling far from welcome, and the room was a dump. The decor was so tired it was practically asleep.
It gets two out of five purely for the location, and let's be honest, there wasn't much they could do to screw that up.

Room Tip: Find another hotel.

“A balanced review”

The Radisson is conveniently located in Fisherman's Wharf tourist area, on tram/bus line to downtown SF, and close to two cable car routes.
Rooms are being refurbished to a good basic standard and the upgrade should be finished by May. Until then there is a chance of being accommodated in the rather tired older rooms, but we found the staff very helpful in resolving our initial concerns. Room locations also vary - some facing away from sea with some noise from road below, some directly facing the sea and fairly noisy Pier 39 area, and some facing inwards with partial sea views but less noise (once small pool closes at 9pm).
Hotel is rather different from European Radisson brand, and has no bar, restaurant or lounge, and plastic/paper cups in rooms! However free wifi helps make activity planning easier, and I guess few people come here to spend time around the hotel.
Overall a reasonable base for visiting SF.
