“Favorite Hotel in SF!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed there many times in the last three years and am always heartbroken when I can't get in. They have great rooms - but what I love most is the amazing staff. Ask for David and Isaac at the bar. Katherine is one of the managers at the desk is gracious and helpful. One tip - ask for a high floor as the garage is open 24 hrs and makes a loud noise when cars are exiting (to warn pedestrians) so that can get a little annoying if you are sensitive to noise like I am.

“Good business hotel, lacking a bit of character”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012 via mobile

Good location for seeing the city and v helpful staff. Restaurant a bit hit and miss at breakfast but if you take advantage of good weekend rates this is a v comfortable base from which to see the city and walk most places

“le meridien left us a liitle cold”

just returned from a 3 nite stay. we had reserved a corner king suite with parking on expedia for a great rate- $159/nt. prior to arriving i called the hotel directly as well as the 800 # and asked them to match the price so i could get starwood points- they both said they would not match. the rate on their website for the same room was $279 without parking. i inquired if i would get the "worst" room in the hotel for our suite- since we had not reseerved on le meridien's own site- they said that we would not get the 'worst" room. i requested a high floor.

so now we arrive- and we are given room 706- a corner suite it was. we asked about a higher floor since we are starwood members and were politely told that no higher floors were available. there were like 23 floors to the hotel. so i do believe we were penalized- there was a slight view of the bay bridge through a corner window. there was a slight view of the transamerica building if you got on your toes and angled yourself the right way.

nevertheless, the room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom very spacious and the staff was cordial. we were tourists and most visitors seemed to be on business. the hotel did not leave us with a warm and fuzzy feeling. everything was fine but nothing really jumped out and said we want your business and want you to tell your friends and relatives to stay here.

i always have a problem with paying for the internet at a hotel- here it was $12.95/nite per device- so we had to pay double for my wife to use her ipad and me to use my laptop. felt ripped off. so the next 2 nites we used our iphones.

location was fine- half mile to ferry building and to chinatown. had a car so was able to get around town fairly easily.

Room Tip: if you get a corner suite- 7th floor was too low to get a good view. don't know how high you ne...

“BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, EXCELLENT VIEWS, FRIENDLY STAFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This hotel I can say exceeds expectations that are alrleady high. From the moment by boyfriend and I checked in to the last day we regretfully had to leave, everything was great. Josiah, the front desk agent was our favorite part of the hotel. He was so nice and accomidating for our special romantic getaway. Every morning he greeted us with a warm "good morning. Where are you two off to today?" He gave us great winery recommendations and was willing to offer help in any way he could. Our room was perfect. The view was stunning. Golden gate bridge, Coit tower, the wharf, etc... The decor was something out of vogue magazine. Very contemporary chic, yet a touch of european sophistication. The room was cleaned perfectly every day we were there. Not one issue with the hotel. I would say out of the dozen hotels I have stayed in San Francisco, this is by far my favorite. Highly recommend this to any type of guest/ occasion.

Room Tip: 1807 was our room and it was amazing!!

“Week of business meetings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I stayed for a week of meetings here. All went well. Meeting rooms were nice, food was fine. When other groups went on break we could here them in our meeting, though, and vice-versa, so that was a little distruptive but not a huge deal.

Location is great. I've been to San Francisco a million times so I did little touring, but we have many newbies in town and they enjoyed the location.

Room was good. Mine was a little larger than normal, not sure why, but I think some found the rooms to be a little small, which is not a surprise for a hotel in the city.

I used to stay at the Omni when I went into San Francisco (the city) all the time. To be honest I'd probably pick that again if I were going on my own dime. However I really enjoyed Le Meridien and would not hesitate to stay there as well.
