“Great quality for a bargain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

After looking into a handful of hotels in San Francisco, comparing reviews and prices, we decided to book our stay at the Hotel Abri. We were a little suspicious because of the bargain price compared to other hotels in the area and because we stayed there around New Year's. We were delighted when we got there and we found a charming hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and overall a very nice, clean bedroom. Our bedroom faced Ellis St and was a little noisy early in the night, so I would recommend asking for an inner bedroom if you're planning on sleeping early.

Room Tip: Ask for a bedroom that does not face Ellis St.

“Plain but comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

After one night in room 402 - approximately 10 feet wide, no desk, window facing a brick wall about 8 feet away - I was relocated to an average size hotel room, with a desk. Staff was courteous and helpful. Fitness center ($15 fee) 5 blocks away was well-equipped. Bed was comfortable, and view of internal alley at least allowed for quiet nights. A colleague complained of noisy nights in his room overlooking the street. In-room wireless internet connection was smooth. Two desktop computers in the lobby were a bit dated, but functioned very well for purpose of printing short documents and boarding passes.

“Amazing!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

A perfect little hotel in a perfect location! Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the man working the door, cannot remember his name! The connected restaurant had great food! The location is amazing for shopping as union square and westfield are within minute walks. Also the cable car is right down the st. Massive room with an extra lounge room area, two TVA two couches and a small dining table made for a homely feel while being so relaxing and luxurious! The only downfall was our room looked into the courtyard, make for dull lighting constantly, was a bit of a downer.

“Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

A wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff at the hotel go beyond the call of duty to be helpful. The rooms are small but very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. This hotel is a real gem and I can highly recommend it.

“Very Nice Hotel, Helpful Friendly Staff, decent price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

My family and I (two kids under 5) stayed the night at Hotel Abri last weekend and were very impressed with our experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room (an urban suite)was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. Price was good ($129) and location is close to union square and market street with easy access to BART & street cars / cable cars. We parked for the night and used public transit the rest of the time. The only improvement would be to lower the $35 (plus tax) valet parking fee. But since we parked for ~ 22 hours it isn't terrible. We were able to check out in the morning but didn't return to pickup our car until the afternoon without any additional charges.

We don't live far from San Francisco, but next time we want to stay the night we will definitely be contacting this hotel.

Room Tip: We had an interior room and could hear no outside noise.
