“Great location for San Francisco!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

The hotel is at a perfect location to see all of San Francisco. One block from F line trolley, one block away from both cable car lines, within walking distance from all Fisherman's Wharf piers and Ghirardelli Square, and even Lombard Street! This Marriott is clean, modern and offers the usual quality of a Marriott hotel. Concierge Desk staff was extremely helpful--especially Pablo! A week before our planned stay, I received an email from my "electronic butler" where I was able to get extra towels, preferred room selection, and information for airport transport. I would suggest not eating at the hotel. There is a great place around the corner from the hotel--Joanie's Happy Days Diner--with outstanding breakfasts! Dinner is a short walk to the North End with unbelievable Italian restaurants. Just ask the concierge...they had excellent recommendations! We would definitely stay here again.

Hello Sharbe,

Thank you so much for your kind words regarding your stay at our hotel; we truly appreciate the feedback and love hearing that you enjoyed your stay with us, the services provided and found our hotel to be clean and modern. I especially thank you for your kind words about our concierge team, specifically Pablo. Pablo takes great pride in making sure that our guests recieve the highest levels of service, and I am so glad to hear that you were taken good care of.

You are correct; there are so many wonderful dining options all around us that one can never even get to them all (and believe me, I've tried), but if you're here again, I do hope that you might give our restaurant a try as well.

We hope to see you again in the future.

Sincerely,
Cindy Landes

“Tiny rooms & rip-off happy hour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012 via mobile

We checked in to this hotel for it's great location. Lots of teenagers running the halls and slamming doors at all hours. Rooms very small & towels not within reach of shower stall. Happy hour rates at bar not honored unless you ask & very salt bar staff. Hotel personnel very indifferent & cold. Will not stay here again.

Dear BobbeeDee,

I am so sorry to read that you had a less than satisfactory stay with us during your time in San Francisco. I can certainly understand how disruptive it can be to have excessive noise from the hallways, and I apologize if we did not respond quickly enough to eliminate the disruption. I am also sorry that you had to ask for the Happy Hour specials instead of them being proactively offered. Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention which gives me the opportunity to address them with my team and take measures for improvement.

Sincerely,
Cindy Landes

“A good hotel for tourists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The hotel was well located for the Fisherman's Wharf area but lacking in public areas and facilities. The menus were limited and rather expensive but there was ample choice in the neighbourhood. The concierge was very helpful and there was a free online flight check-in facility.

Room Tip: Trolley buses go on Columbus Avenue side but the noise is not bad - particularly on the top (5th) fl...

Good morning David C.,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. I am so glad that you found our location and concierge services pleasing. I am, though, sorry to hear that did not find an adequate menu selection in our restuarant. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us during your travels.

Clean nice rooms, excellent location! Short walk to Little Italy, Fisherman's Wharf. Good service. Didn't eat in the hotel as there are so many choices around it. Had a great time!

“Great base in San Francisco (especially for first-time visitors)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Stayed here for five days in August 2011 and enjoyed each one.

Staff were perfectly pleasant any time I had reason to interact. Room was spacious, enjoyed a chat with the waiter over breakfast then walked up to see the Giants play!

If you're in SF the first time, this really is the ideal base. Right beside Fishermans Wharf, you can get Pier 39 and all the touristy stuff out of your system before setting off to explore (and make sure you do). Only drawback is that it's a little pricey...

Dear Eno25,

Thank you so much for the feedback you recently provided regarding your stay with us in August; I am so happy that you had such positive interactions with our staff and were able to enjoy your five nights in San Francisco. We, too, love our location and the ease of access to the different attractions that it provides, and I'm so glad that you were able to catch a Giants game at AT&T Park while you were in town; the stadium is spectacular.

We hope to see you again if your travels bring you back to San Francisco.

Sincerely,
Cindy Landes
