Came here for a business trip, and stayed at this hotel. I had a really nice visit. Everything was wonderful from service to the room. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel with two toddler/preschool boys. The great, downtown location made it easy to walk and take public transportation to major attractions. Ghiradelli Square is an easy walk even for tiny legs. The hotel is on two busy streets, so there is street noise, but I've never stayed in a San Fran hotel that wasn't noisy. I'd recommend opting for a higher floor if you want more quiet. We also appreciated the free breakfast, especially since eating out all the time as a family can get pricey. Staff were helpful in navigating public transportation and locating nearby parks. We would definitely stay again.

We were staying there for the first time in SF and love the fact that this hotel is so close to many attractions! We walked pretty much everywhere. For example, we walked and jogged to the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman Wharf, Cable cars, Lombard Street and many more. I used my Thank you points to book the hotel so we got it for free for one night. We also can see the Golden Gate bride from our hotel! Yep how nice ha! We love it there it is not fancy but if you look for a budget stay and like to walk this hotel is for you! Oh, to get the best discount try to call them and ask for it sometime they don't advertise on the site. I think you have to ask about a manager discount deal. Lastly the the reception that helped was really really nice! I forgot his name but he from Brazil. He offer great service!

We've stayed here twice, and on both occasions we had higher up rooms with views of the golden gate bridge. Staff were helpful. Rooms are rather dated but clean and spacious. The bathrooms have heaters for times when it's a bit cooler. The windows in one of the rooms we stayed in didn't completely close properly and we had to leave the heater on, but overall the rooms are fine with wonderful views of the Golden Gate bridge.
Breakfast is a simple continental fare, but was fine for us each day before we set off sightseeing. The parking underneath the hotel is ok, but some spaces can be a bit tight to get in and out of.
The hotel is easy walking distance to Fishermans Wharf & the cable cars into town. If you like hills you can easily walk up and over to Lombard Street (famous squinty road) and also see great views of Alcatraz at the top too.
There is a bar and a resturaunts across the road and a laundrette next door, but to get better choice you'll need to go into town centre or Fishermans Wharf.
