we wisitied someone styaing there. the room was spacious and comfortable.
The ambieance was very good.
The Hotel is located near Pier 39. We can easily go to downtown and there is a parking garage very close to the hotel..

Stayed here for three nights. It is a very old hostel. Everything is old, from the walls to the furniture to the carpet. The room deco was old fashioned, European style if you want to make it sound better. The entrance/lobby is very small, so small that they have to use a floor-to-ceiling mirror on one both sides of the wall to make it look bigger! The elevator is soooo slow. The staff was helpful in answering my touristic questions, and the location is great.

Had no problems here at all. Very central and rooms at the back are very quite. Nice and clean with a good shower. Couldnt get the TV remote to work but other than that its just fine.

I was bitten by bed bugs soon after I went to bed in the 1st evening. I was too tired to move hotel so I settled for relocation to another room which was very worn and dusty (same with the first). The window won't stay opened and there was no air condition. On the 4th morning I found a live bed bug clawing on the bathroom floor.

I chose the hotel for its location i.e. buses travel along Geary Street, 15-20 minutes walk to Chinatown, 8 minutes walk to the nearest cable car stop, many Downtown San Francisco attractions are within walking distance.

I will not recommend this hotel until they have sorted out the housekeeping/maintenance issues.
