I spent 3 days at Orchard Garden Hotel with 8 others. When we first arrived at the hotel, we asked for directions to Union Square, Japantown, etc. An Asian woman was at the counter (I do not have her name) and she gave us maps after instructing us. We continued to see her every morning for the next two days. She was always very cheery and polite, willing to help. The staff there is generally commendable and we noticed that some of them take on multiple roles- the bell boy is also the waiter at the restaurant on the first floor, for example.
The hotel is small but rather cosy. My sister and I were lucky to have a spacious room with an additional couch. We could hear people talking at night but thankfully, there were not too many people occupying the rooms on our floor and it wasn't too noisy. The beds were large and there was an iHome in each room.
The food is average. We had eggs, turkey ham and toast every morning. I would have liked more variation in what was served.
The gym is small with not much equipment, all of which were out of order during my stay.
Yet, overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Orchard Garden Hotel, mostly because of the excellent service and the nicely-furnished rooms. Not having too many people in the same hotel also gave a sense of privacy. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves in the morning. There is wifi as well, as an additional plus point. The other hotels I went to in Las Vegas and L.A., Harrah's and Marriot The Courtyard, both pale in comparison.
