Located on the edge of the Tenderloin and Financial district, this location is good if you are traveling with someone else or are okay with being bothered by crack dealing hobos. Luckily (in some ways) I'm used to dealing with crack heads and hobos so this didn't bother me at all, but was rather entertaining. Overall, decently located in downtown.
The place is pretty crusty, not terrible though. It's like staying at your cousins dirty party house. The problem with San Francisco is that every hotel and hostel is expensive, so This place, $60 a night for a private room, was the cheapest place we could find. It smelled funny, and there were (apparently) no quiet hours, as there was loud singing, and instrument playing well past 2am. I like to be fair, so I'll say that the people working there were chill, not eager to help but nice. Stoned. The free breakfast? Old bread and jam, coffee, NO MORE. Not even butter. Also, don't expect to find parking anywhere if you have a car for under $25.
So, if you want a good time staying up late and partying and a cheap stay and like to eat out, this place is for you. If you want a free breakfast, and are street unwise and just want to sleep after midnight, don't come here.
