We checked this place after reading a few reviews about something central and for the price, This place is only one block from Union square and China Town also right near the main street to catch public transport. Park Hotel the rooms are great decent size all new ikea furniture and the best shower I've had since being in america, There is a full size kitchen with everything included and a washer and dryer which is handy and this place has the most awesome elevator and the staff are so nice and so helpful. If your on a budget or just want something central this is your place the only downfall is were in a room on the street and you can hear the street noise but it doesn't keep you up at night but if you want to recommend a room not on the street if your a light sleeper but other wise park hotel is a great place.

We were a bit put off by the lobby and downstairs area and the daggy old elevator (use the rope to hold it open). But the location is great, the rooms are clean with maid service daily. Its noisy outside at night and has a lot of cooking smells going on but for a cheap hotel just too sleep in its fine. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Decent room quality and room service, very reasonable price. The location is excellent.

This hotel is really value for money. Its main drawing point is the location - we walked everywhere: to Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, Coit Tower, The Embarcadero... It's a great place to stay if convenience is your main issue.

The people at the front desk are really nice, the toilets are a little old but still clean, the rooms are on the small side but then again it's not like you'd get a huge room for $60/night, the elevator is a classic and I loved riding it.

Overall, if you are looking for a place to stay in San Fran on the cheap, and one that is centrally located, this is it! I would definitely come back to this hotel.
