It looks shady from the outside (I have a weakness for Americana neon signage), but the service and room were very nice, and the price can't be beat. Your not far from Golden Gate Park, right off PCH, and a cab ride to Haight wasn't much. Getting down to Union Square is a hike, but it wasn't where I needed to be most of my trip. I was also happy to find Pizza Orgasmica was walking distance!

The bathroom was very nice for a motel, bed was comfy, and the desk manager was helpful for anything we needed.

I saw people complained about the noise from the bus if you faced the street. Our room faced the street, but I didn't find it that noisey. I mean, you're in a motel room facing a busy street -- you're going to hear traffic and people outside. Honestly, I've stayed at various boutique and mom and pop places in Cow Hollow and Union Square before, and the Geary was by far the most comfortable out of all of them for something that isn't a chain. So far this is the only place I've stayed in San Francisco, at this price point, where I'd gladly go back.

We stayed at this terrible terrible motel at Christmas. Staff are rude & antipathy, Guests arguing about the parking spots shortage, every night-even at surreal hours.. The bus stations located at the hotel entrance right under the rooms, works round the clock, and Bus doors noisily opened and closed whenever the bus arrive-every few minutes. Each and every day, it took us a whole hour by public transportation to get to the city center & another nerve-racking hour to get back. Three nights were ENOUGH!

We reserved our room 2 days ahead of time. Once we arrived at the motel, they didn't let us to park in the only parking spot left. They said that it was for "break fast delivery machine". They had me to park in the Geary Ave. all night long. just 5 minutes after I parked my car in the street, in front of my eyes, another one of the staffs, pulled his car in the same parking spot. When I asked him about the reason, he told me (in a very harsh way) that it was a private parking spot. however there was no signs or anything in front of it. it was not for breakfast nor a private parking, they wanted it for themselves, and had me to park in the street.
that was their warm welcome to us at midnight.

We have gone to Geary Parkway Motel for several years. We have always found it to be clean and comfortable with friendly management. We are going again in January to visit family. One street over has a large Chinese market we really liked and some very good restaurants.
