“They ripped us off and won't refund the money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I arrived there late and didn't read the receipt until I got home and they had charged me two extra days I hadn't stayed there. When I called the lady was rude and wouldn't refund the money. Not to mention I could hardly understand her and she used profanity. Why would I want to stay there for more than one day, the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed for a week, and between the uncomfortable bed and the noise I couldn't get a wink of sleep. Do not stay here, this is your warning please take it!

“This place is just fine...REALLY!!!”

My husband and I stayed here for 2 night mid-December 2011. I read the reviews and decided to take my chances - why well 1) price 2) location 3) it doesn't show up on the bed bug registry (that probably should be #1). The room was fine, clean and well taken care of. No it's not a resort but then you're not paying resort prices. There was some noise outside by other guests when the 49 won a home game but soooo what. And yes you can hear the traffic - but it's a city - again sooooo what. We came to see the city not sit in a hotel room. We wanted a safe, clean place to sleep and that what we got. Also the room had a refrigerator and a microwave which was handy, I always appreciate that in a room. The price was great and they gave a AAA discount too - also the room choice didn't disappear when I said I was looking for a AAA discount, that was nice. Oh and the staff were very pleasant and on the day we left we needed to leave our things in the office for several hours and they were more than willing to allow us to do so. We hope to visit San Francisco again some day and I would stay here again without question...

Room Tip: I'm pretty sure all the rooms are the same - we did have the room with the King Size bed, and it...

“Great location, horrible nights sleep”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

As I write this I am sitting on the most uncomfortable bed. My head is pounding from the lack of sleep my husband and I got last night. Springs from the mattress were poking me all night, pillows were as hard as rocks and there is the most annoying knocking sound coming from inside the walls. All night! We are going to ask to change rooms and hope that helps. If not we are leaving and finding a room elsewhere!
Another thing, walls are paper thin. Could hear a drunk girl in the next room over singing at 4:00am. Awful night.
I need a nap.

“OK for SF, don't let negatives discourage you”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

I stayed here before, am there now, and would stay again. I read the other negative reviews, but don't let them discourage you. San Francisco is an EXPENSIVE place for lodgings, running about twice the price that you'd pay in some other American tourist destinations, for comparable lodgings, even in California.

The outside looks shabby, but the rooms are OK for the price, relative to SF standards. Clean and adequate, nothing fancy. You don't get "breakfast," just to-go coffee and a bread roll. If hungry, there's a full-menu breakfast place across the street. Good neighborhood for an old motel, much better than what you'd get for anywhere near this price at those places near Union Square. Face it, in SF if you want more, you have to pay more.

Has WiFi (usually works) and crowded parking. On major bus routes that will get you nearly anywhere a tourist wants to go. Moderately long but do-able walk to some places of interest to tourists. Three blocks away from fine views. Reasonably quiet at night, because the major traffic is daytime in this vicinity, and no honky-tonk bars nearby. Room has heat and AC (Imagine that, in SF) as well as mini-fridge and microwave.

Not my first choice, because I can afford a bit more. But if my first choice is booked, or has raised its rates, then I'll come back to this one again. Summary: Not deluxe, but not a dump.

“Biggest Dump I have ever stayed in”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

If you are completely desperate & can not find a place to stay, avoid this place at all cost's, having arrived in San-Francisco in the middle of a convention no rooms available anywhere we had to take a room in this dump !!! very small room, room filthy, carpet disgusting, bed broken, bed-side lights broken & filthy, we booked 2 nights & could only manage the one night & had to leave as it was so dismal only to find out the management charged us for the second night anyway.THIS PLACE IS THE BIGGEST DUMP I HAVE EVER STAYED IN SINCE VISITING THE U.S. IN ALMOST THIRTY YEARS.THEY ARE COMPLETE RIP OFF ARTIST'S

Room Tip: No such thing in this Dump all Rooms are a Disaster Area
