“Couldn't have asked for a better stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I was very impressed with this Marriott. The hotels exterior does little justice for the really posh and has a great contemporary design theme. The lobby is very open and has plenty of nice sitting area and has a great bar. The bar service is also top notch and the bartenders will give you the best advice of where to go and have a fun night on the town. The drinks are a little pricy, but it is expected for a hotel bar. It is in a great location right near Chinatown and in the heart of Union Square and you can practically walk anywhere. We walked all the way to Fisherman's Wharf one day and it was really enjoyable because you can take everything in that San Francisco has to offer. Only complaint is the cost of WiFi per day... They have a wonderful breakfast also, top notch! Other than that, it was an overall great place to stay and super helpful staff that will do anything in the world for you.

Room Tip: Get a room on a high floor, they offer the best views of the skyline.

Wonderful location and nice big rooms. The bar is excellent, I highly recommend their cocktails! Only a negative thing: short dark hairs in the bathroom, I have long blonde hair so not quite mine : (

“Great functional hotel”

Great location near union square. Walking distance to all other hotels and attractions. Nice modern rooms although the bathrooms are lightly small. Helpful conceirge. Not exactly 5 star luxuary but then again its a busness hotel. I would recommend this hotel. Key disadvantage may be the noise of people on the street especially on a friday night. So a higher floor room not facing the street may be better.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms to avoid any noise from te street below,

“Good location”

Is a great location, a few minutes from Union Sq, Market Street and China Town. Great place for breakfast just across the Road (Sears) and a good Sushi place opposite. Romms was clean, a big small and the bathroom quite small and basic. But was fine for what I needed - good location and a cheap room.

“San Francisco weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We took a ride up to San Francisco to see our son's new place of employment and where he was living, a 4 hour trip from our home on the Central Coast. The hotel staff are very welcoming and accommodating! The servers in the restaurant, Bin 480, are helpful with menu choices, as well as wine and well drinks. The Bell Men are courteous and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a central location; walking distance from many of the attractions of The City. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely visit it again!
