“Stay away!”

If I could give the service a lower rating then a 1 I would in a heartbeat. I was coming up to San Fran for a birthday weekend with my boyfriend, before arrival I was already given a lot of attitude from the owner, who hung up on me three times while I tried to cancel my reservation and was told I couldn't.
Anyways, I brushed it off and decided we will only be here to sleep and our days will be spent venturing the city. Upon arrival she would not even lift her head to acknowledge me , which of course made me furious. I'm your customer, where did you learn customer service?
She placed me in the room sharing the wall with the antique elevator, which I heard all night. Room 101, 201 or 301 you should avoid. As we opened the door our first words were "musty". I understand the age of the building, and I wasn't expecting some extravagant place, but the room smelled like a grandmother's closet that hasn't been opened in a couple months. The continental breakfast consisted of stale muffins, which were quite hard. And I passed on the bananas which were mostly black.
Please don't stay here, they don't deserve your money.

This was my second visit to San Francisco and definitely the best. Ideal location and very friendly staff. Food was great and reasonably priced. Very clean in every aspect, would recommend as very good value for money.

“AWESOME HOTEL FOR REASONABLE PRICE!!”

When I checked into this hotel, Maher Patel - Hotel Manager, was very nice and helpful. I had two rooms and she was very accommodating in putting my rooms side by side and also to my requests for quiet rooms. Since then this is my second trip to the city and I immediately booked at this hotel. Very clean rooms and safe neighborhood. The bathroom is nice and big and I love the shower! All staff was very helpful from Housekeeping to Maintenance! If you want to stay in an afforadable, clean and safe hotel...STAY HERE!

“DON'T WASTE your $$$!!Ripoff- scam artists!”

I booked a room through laterooms.com on the evening of January 14 with the intention of moving to that hotel from another I was staying at by the airport. When I called the hotel to confirm that they had received my reservation, I was told that my reservation was for the next night. I had searched for one night of availability only, so I could not figure how this could happen. After the lady at the hotel had told me I would have to cancel my reservation with the online booking agency, and having no luck contacting their international number. I decided to personally cancel the reservation the next morning at the hotel.
What a nightmare! As soon as I mentioned the company I used to book the room, the rude manager of the hotel, Nando, knew exactly what went wrong and it seemed they had this instance happen many times! She stated that since late rooms.com is a UK based company, they are a day ahead of us and that is why my reservation was moved to the next day without my realizing it. So after Nando refused to cancel our reservation saying she had no control over it since we booked with laterooms.com, we were contacted by the website and told that it was only the hotel who could cancel our reservation. When confronted with this evidence, she admitted it was the hotel who would charge my credit card and she could cancel the charge, but we had violated the cancellation policy which was 72 hours and she told us we would be charged an $ 80 cancellation fee which was $10 more than the original price quoted for a 1 night stay!!! Caught in a lie and still unwilling to concede!!In essence, the staff is rude, in particular Nando who said she was the manager. Do not stay here!!!!!!! The location is nice but it looks like a run down motor lodge from the 1970's on the outside and I'm sure the rooms are no better. There were homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk outside the hotel at 9am and lots of trash on the sidewalk ! We were glad we did not stay here!!! The Mosser hotel was a little more expensive but so first class it makes this place laughable. Please heed my warning and spend your money elsewhere while enjoying this beautiful city!!!

Yes You did make your reservation online at late rooms .com and when you said that you are not able to contact the international number we offered to look up the local number so you could cancel it through them -any reservations that are made online through third party companies are to be cancelled through them .

When we told you that we have to receive the cancellation fax and even though it is a cancellation with penalty we can consider it from there -if we sell the room then we wont charge you .
The 10$extra is the tax and all bookings there is tax added to the amount .
