“The Best Location on Maui”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we couldn't have been more pleased with The Napili Bay Resort. Right on the beach, clean, quiet, beautifully maintained. Early in the morning all you could hear was the waves and the birds in the trees (and a few roosters in the distance!). Our condo was perfectly decorated, clean and well equipped. Coin laundry and gas grills on site. Napili Bay beach is great for families - gentle waves, great swimming, snorkeling & stand-up paddles boards. Two restaurants within walking distance. A simple convenience store is within walking distance and a market 3 minutes drive away. If buying a lot of groceries,do your shopping at the Safeway (15 minutes) or the Times Market (10 minutes) for better variety and lower prices. Most west Maui attractions are within 20 minutes.

Room Tip: We picked room 102 for the beach front view. People noise was insignificant - the loudest thing was...

“Heaven on Earth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Napali Bay Condos and the beach and bay itself were heaven on earth. The condos were perfect, so low key and yet so comfortable and right on the beach. The area is amazing, the snorkelling is fantastic in Napali Bay and in the next bay over, Kapaulua Bay. Definitely try snorkelling in both these locations. Snorkel Bob's is right next door and rents snorkel equipment and paddle surfboards, which is worth a try. Great hiking too - take the coastal trail which is rugged ( I wore hiking shoes) and amazing views. Walk out on the walk around the bay and look for humpback whales, we saw many while we were there. Definitely would recommend the Condos and the whole area.

Room Tip: For a cheaper price, book the oceanview rather than oceanfront room. Still have a view of the ocean...

“A little slice of paradise”

The property is a little bit on the old-school side in terms of construction and carpeting, but you cannot beat its location. It's situated alongside the beach of Napili Bay, where the swimming is all right (bit of a steep shore break) and the snorkeling is marvelous. (If you need equipment, Snorkel Bob's is a two-minute walk up the street.) Look for the family of turtles! During whalewatching season, bring a pair of binoculars and look for the whales off the coast. It has its own private beach access with showers.

Excellent food and drink is a short walk away along the beach. If you would rather self-cater, Safeway is a 15-minute drive down the 30. With an oceanfront room, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. If you have obnoxiously loud neighbors, you can hear them from your lanai, but less so in the room. If the parking lot is full you can still park down the street. The residence manager is onsite to resolve any issues.

I can't wait to stay here again.

Room Tip: For the ocean view from your lanai, choose rooms 200-209 for the best view, 100-109 if you can't...

“Beware of the non privacy of the units and traveling sound.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We rented Condo 111 which was very nice inside and good amenities. However, since there is no air conditioning and it is too hot to keep the windows and doors closed to keep the noise out, it became apparent that you could hear what other people were doing, what they were saying, slamming doors, smoke detectors going off each night next door, breaking wine glasses, etc. THERE IS NO PRIVACY. Our neighbor was extremely loud and we spoke to him about keeping his voice down. That situation got no better. We ended up living our vacation around the neighbor's sleeping schedule and visiting hours. You can't take a nap during the day because of all the commotion. You can't close up the unit because it is too hot. Like I said, the unit itself was nice, but if you are looking for something quiet on your vacation, this is not it. The beach is nice but very crowded. Alot of locals seem to come there on the weekends as well. Alot of surfing going on there.

Mahalo for taking the time to write a review of the wonderful accommodations and amenities provided to you by #111 at The Napili Bay. The unit is truly steps to the wonderful beach and the views are fantastic.

I want each guest to have a wonderful experience in my unit. It appears the unit itself was not the issue but the noise of the neighbors next door. The Napili Bay has protocol in place if the noise level of guests becomes an issue. It is unfortunate the guest didn't notify me when issues arose. The resident manager of the Napili Bay along with the owners of the unit could have resolved the problem.

It is unfortunate this incident occurred as I only want the most positive experience for my guests. I only wish I was given the opportunity to resolve her issue.

“Great location, great value!”

Fantastic location with absolutely wonderful views of Napili Bay, the beach, sea turtles, whales (in season), and it sounds like the waves are breaking at your bedside. If you are looking for super updated decor, this is not the spot for you. If you are looking for good value, clean accommodation, great location, and great service, this is the place! We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this unit to everyone we know! Condo is well stocked with everything you need for your stay! Welcome basket was a very nice touch. We do plan on visiting again and would stay in this unit.
