This was our first visit to this Westin property and it won't be our last. We received top notch service from the moment we drove up to the lobby until the moment we left. When we arrived we actually drove to the South Villas as we were unsure as to what property we were staying at. The valet employee quickly checked for us and informed us that we were staying at the North Villas, so we went there. We were greeted by Tosh with a big smile and he quickly went to work loading up all of our groceries we had purchased as well as our luggage while we checked in. We were in our room barely 5 minutes when Moo knocked on our door to deliver our luggage and groceries. Moo was extremely helpful, putting away groceries, filling us in with information about the property, giving us tips about things to do, just a very kind man. We booked an island view studio so I was kind of expecting to look over the parking lot but to my surprise we were placed in building 5, fifth floor overlooking the kids (pirate ship) pool. We didn't have kids with us so I was a bit concerned that it may be too noisy, but it wasn't at all! It turned out to be a nice room location and we were not bothered by any excessive activity or noise whatsoever. And you can't beat the HEAVENLY BED!! I swear this is the biggest reason I love Westin's, the BED! I actually bought a heavenly bed for home so when I travel and stay at a Westin there is no transition!
The outdoor BBQ's are a great addition to vacation cooking, we used the BBQ's 3-4 times during our 7 day stay and it was perfect. The property is very well taken care of, extremely clean, well manicured lawns, just a beautiful setting. We took advantage of the boardwalk between our hotel and the Aston Maui Villas were our friends were staying next door, nice walk, the pathway is lit at night for your safety but the lighting stops as soon as you leave the Westin grounds of course. We signed up for an outrigger canoe trip through the concierge and it was awesome! Guides were extremely friendly, we left right from our beach so no need to drive to our excursion. We saw many many whales on our canoe trip, got close to a few, but not too close! The whales were extremely active during our entire trip, in fact, the day before we left we were treated to a very up close encounter when two smaller whales made their way extremely close to shore. They casually swam by us in very shallow water approximately 20-30 feet off the beach, very unusual and it was a bit concerning for many people as they thought they may beach themselves, but they didn't, they just swam by very slowly and gave everyone some great picture and video shots!
We will be back for sure and I highly recommend this property to anyone travelling as a couple, group, with kids, whatever the type of travel, you won't be disappointed.
