Very friendly and personable staff. More personal than the larger condo places. Marisa showed us the different rooms that were available. The one in front could be noisy so we chose one in the back (closer to the ocean). No view of the ocean (that one was not available...) but the room was large, clean and pretty quiet. We had a good time there. There is a walking path to the beach but the beach is minuscule. We never went there and instead went to a small park with a better beach, grass and tree, about 100 yards south. Nice organic store and coffee place. And a good size supermarket not too far (driving).
This apartment / hotel provides very good quality for the price (no parking charge, resort fee, etc..), and is conveniently located for excursions to the north and Lahaina.
If it had a direct view to the ocean and a nice beach, this would be perfect.... Everything else was great.

We just returned from our annual visit to Maui--six weeks this time. If it were not for the Hale Maui, we would not be able to afford such a nice, long vacation. The Hale Maui is everything that we need and want on our Maui vacations. The units are clean and efficent. From the outdoor balcony, we were able to "skype" with our grandkids so they could see the whales jumping in the ocean. The Zimmerman family are wonderful hosts!

I can't say enough good things about the staff at this place. They answer emails in a flash. They are super friendly and responsive. This place is the perfect home base for travelers that just need a place to sleep, cook a few meals and then get out and see Maui. Hale Maui is for the adventurers!

We stayed at the Hale Maui for our 15 day vacation and would definately stay again.The room was clean and comfortable,but being on the parking lot side (as opposed to the garden side)we found it a bit noisy and were awakened by traffic at 6;45 each morning.Good location,walking distance to shopping plaza,grocery store and restaurant.The beach is close by and we enjoyed turtles and whale sightings everyday and most days had the whole beach to ourselves.Overall a wonderful experience!
