The beach estates were a perfect place for our vacation. 5 of us stayed in the 2 bedroom with loft condo (we were 5 adults). The condo was well appointed- all the bedrooms had bathrooms (including the loft) and there was ample space for everyone. The cleaning staff came on a daily basis and kept the place spotless!

We ate meals every day outside overlooking the ocean The kitchen was large and had all sorts of different appliances to make various foods. In addition there are two common BBQ's which we used frequently. There is a food store just down the street.

You literally are just steps from the beach. The beach is small but pristine- the water is shallow but was always calm and had great snorkeling. You are close by to Kanapaali and Kapalua if you want to see the resorts (about a ten minute drive) but you can walk into Lahaina in less than 5 minutes.

The pool area wasn't huge but still very nice and clean!

Also- the staff is wonderful and will help you plan your trip and answer all of your questions! Paula in the front office lent us all sorts of books etc to help us learn more about the Island and gave us great snorkeling trip recomendations.

Overall, we had a great trip there!!

Simply, the most luxurios condo that I have ever rented. Spectacular across the board: ocean front yet secluded, gated, high-end, lavishly furnished, flat screen TVs and DVDs, opulent bathrooms, complete amenities, pool, daily maid service, friendly concierges who satisfied every request, easy walking into Lahaina for shopping and restaurants, and stunning views. My family had the times of our lives! Can't wait to go back! Forget the nearby high-priced hotels; this is your ticket to paradise! Six stars!!!!!

First time on Maui was 4 years ago with just my wife and I staying in Wailea at the Fairmount Kia Lani, great hotel but this trip was with my daughter and son-in-law so we wanted a similar experience luxury wise but wanted to stay someplace where we could have a shared experience.

Puunoa Beach Estates filled the bill perfectly. After our first trip we found that most of the entertainment and really good restaurants are in or near Lahaina and Puunao Beach Estates is located a very short walking distance (.2 mi.) just down Front Street and the heart of Lahaina shops, attractions and restaurants.

This resort is small and exclusive, just 10 units total with magnificently manicured lawns bordered by a privacy hedge with a private baby beach just 20 feet from your lanai if your unit is on the lower level which ours was. We had one of the smaller units (1500 sq.ft.) master suite with a King and private bath and lanai, 2nd bedroom with a Queen and complete bath, full kitchen with every appliance including blender for making smoothies and even an ice maker yielding an unending supply of crystal clear ice for drinks. Maid service every day included.

Living room is huge with retractable doors that can opened completely to let in the breeze and with the waves so close its just like sitting on the beach. Power shades are raised or lower to either block out the hot afternoon sun or give a panorama for the sunsets over the island of Lanai which is just across the water. Morning coffee (cappuccino if desired) from the lanai watch whales surface and jump is an incredible experience not to be missed.

A Safeway is just a very short drive away at the Lahaina Cannery Mall but be ready for sticker shock if you plan to buy supplies to eat in and cook which is a great option, there are very nice gas grills located poolside if needed. We mostly ate out by design with the exception of one evening when we got a traditional ham and pineapple pizza from Lahaina Pizza Company and just sat on the lanai and watched the sun set.

Trust me if you are looking for a laid back exclusive Maui experience Puunao Beach Estates is your place.

We stayed with our our preschooler and 1 year old and for the last two nights, the grandparents. Of our 3 trips to Hawaii with our children, this place has been the best for us.

1. Location. The beach (apparently known as "baby beach") is literally steps from the unit. Perfect for the smallest ones, as the water is still as glass most mornings and heated almost like bathwater. In the afternoon, gentle waves. Walking distance to Lahaina. In a residential neighborhood, which we like rather than a huge resort complex.

2. Unit #205. Is very large. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Unit is nicely laid out. Wonderful oceanfront views from living room, dining room, and master bedroom. 1 bedroom is a little smaller, perfect for our preschooler. Has all amenities we needed or wanted for the kitchen, beach, bath.

3. Resort. We like how the unit is part of a pretty small complex, only 12 units total. Very quiet. We felt like we were very special guests. There are 3 public grills, fitness center and a nice pool and whirlpool spa.

We would definitely return to this place.
